Február 21. Jelmezbál az oviban. Kérjük,hogy ijesztő, varázsló,boszorkány jelmezekbe ne öltöztessétek a gyermekeket. Az ezekkel foglalkozó személyek nem kedvesek Isten előtt.

Farsang 2026
I’m on a budget so I reused my vampire costume for Phantom of the Opera 🌹
(Plusz sima farmer.)
Kreativitásom -mint mindig- határtalan.
sosem felejtem el, hogy 1996-ban
egy szülő viccesnek tartotta a hétéves gyerekét Bokros-csomagnak öltöztetni a farsangi jelmezversenyünkre.
Nyomorult kis srác ott dülöngélt egy két lábon járó dobozként.
Winter with an egg and her mom :)
An early memory of mine is seeing a snowdrop (hóvirág), in a pile of snow, when I was a kid.
It is Farsang season!!!
Farsang is the name of the period from Epiphany (January 6) to midnight on Shrove Tuesday, until Lent starting on Ash Wednesday (the 46th day before Easter)
Other countries celebrate something similiar too, but it is not at all the same as people in Hungary do it!
A very special part of it are mysterious figures called "Busó".
We created these busó masks all the time when we were kids, at least I did.
These "busó" people can only (traditionally) be found in one place: Mohács.
The Busójárás ( "Busó-walking", or in Croatian: "Pohod bušara") is a celebration of the Šokci living in the town of Mohács, Hungary.
These busó are completely anonymous! They go even as far as to change constumes from time to time, to make sure nobody figures out who they are.
The busó is a figure carved from willow wood, traditionally painted with animal blood and wearing a sheepskin hood.
A certain "szép busó" accompanies them at times which are women busó (you can see them on the pictures, wearing veils)
Farsang is allllll about celebrating! It is meant to be one of the most joyous times of the year!
Oh, and the farsangi fánk tastes so incredibly good:
There are many celebrations during winter, but Farsang is the most known and loved one!
Farsang is about scaring the winter away, and welcoming the spring! That is why the busó might look frightening, and that is why it is customary to dress up during the celebration!
And you'll probably hear either of these songs either sung or played!
