Remember when Zhaan had like six spontaneous organism caused by viewing solar flares and they showed this all on screen and used it as a means to reveal that she - like all members of her species - is actually a plant?

And then John started yelling "You're a PLANT?!" over and over again because he's lost in space and nothing makes sense ever.

Remember when D'Argo spent the entire first half of season one of Farscape acting as though he completely despised Sebaceans, and no one really questioned it because god knows he had good enough reasons to feel that way given what the Peacekeepers were like -

But then we found out that he'd actually had a Sebacean wife and the two of them had been totally in love and had left their own peoples and everything they had known for a chance for a life together, but that she had been killed by her own brother for the crime of loving a man of another species, and that much of what D'Argo had to say about Sebaceans - and particularly Aeryn, who was such a threat - was basically a desperate gambit to hide the existence of the child he and his murder wife had brought into the world for the sake of keeping the boy safe from people who would want to destroy him for simply existing? 

Because I remembered a lot of that but holy shit re-watching it hurts like hell.
