・You understood that each dragon had a different personality. It defined how you treated them

・Drogon was the most independent; he hated being coddled too much. He just likes to play and explore

・Rhaegal always wanted to keep up with Drogon, but he wasn't fast enough. And he liked being close to Dany.

・Viserion though - he adored being held; soft touches and gentle pets were his favourite. It took a long time for him to realise he was too big to sit in your lap :(

・Dany loved that someone else saw her children the way she did. With dignity and astonishment

・Other people were incredibly shocked to find you laying in the grass with three dragons. All lazily flopped on top of you somehow. Either with their head, wing or foot

・You actually know secrets about the dragons - how Drogon has ticklish feet. Rhaegal likes to be called 'a good strong dragon,' and Viserion sometimes whines for his mother.

・Your relationship with Dany definitely helps as well. You adore her, and she you. You do love her ... as more than friends, more than her being your ruler...

・But you could never admit that

・Too bad though, she herself is deeply in love with you. And it shows - you're allowed alone with her children. Allowed to look after them when she isn't there to

・Like ... another mother to them

・And gods forbid if anything happened to you - the dragons would kill anyone who comes into mere feet of you.

・There's always one of them nearby.

I think it’s so poetic how the Targaryen’s of the past have all associated their house words ‘Fire and Blood’ with death, destruction, and the oppressive power they assert over others only for Dany to come along and show that the origins of its meaning most likely had to do with the creation of life- aka dragons- and not destruction or power at all. It goes to show how different she is from them in so many ways and is a huge reason why they’d never have been able to do what she did. ‘Fire and Blood’ is how her children were born. Gosh, I love her so much💕

when you think about it, it's really something that Game of Thrones took the woman that was fighting to end the current structures of power and injustices of the world and saving all the oppresed and decided to transform her into a villain compared to Satan (like, she is outright called Her Satanic Majesty in the Season 8's script) who without any reason ends up burning half a million of innocent people instead of outright targetting the one person responsible for all her misery, and then is murdered by poor crying man who swore he loved her but knows what is best

Putting aside all the HUGE problems with all of the writing, I just find it fascinating. How the end of Game of Thrones is the restoration of the status quo. The council talking about repairing and opening brothels. How the Starks, yes, despite all their suffering during the series, still remain in power at the end of everything, despite being as bad or worse than the Targaryen, not even acknowledging their sins and how much their legacy and position was built through blood war genocide and conquest, how it was the First Men who, in the TV series continuity, caused the creation of the White Walkers

Like. Of course Daenerys had to be villanized. She was too dangerous. Her ideas couldn't be tolerated. What the world needed was... to keep the status quo that benefits and oppresses the same people again and again. The best the latter can get is a little time of liberation before the rest of the world, leaded and convinced by the same powerful classes, determine you got too much and you don't get to exist or to live anymore. Isn't that what we have been watching for the last years? How everything we thought was gained has been taken and is still being taken from us, so casually? Our right to decide, to feel, to live and exist? How the supposed "mercy" is just a lie until they get tired of pretending and show they had not changed at all?
