Hi! I'm 25 years late to the ST: Voyager fandom and I would love to join in for this year's Merry Month of Cohen. Can I please have 15 May? I use the same handle on AO3.
We're honored to have you! So, yes, May 15 is yours! Thank you for joining!

Jane's officially gone?! My heart :((((
Alas, yes - and officially, it’s because she broke up with Thor (or he with her - not clear that we find out). And, I mean, what can you do. Black Panther looks good, and I’m looking forward to S2 of Luke Cage and Defenders, and I’m hoping the racism of S1 AKA JJ gets addressed in S2. But otherwise, the MCU is pretty done for me. They think women not in relationships with men - women who played huge parts of major blockbusters - aren’t relevant the second a relationship is absent. I can be more interested in other things, like Power Rangers (which is looking very promising), Wonder Woman (ditto), Shadowhunters (which is my guilty pleasure that fails on many fronts but not all), Star Wars (hello old friend), and so on.
It’s a shame they came up with such awesome ideas and actresses for Jane and Maia and Freya and Pepper and Betty and Helen and Maria and then just flung them aside the second they were no longer relevant to a dude or group of dudes, but like, they did, and after what, 5 films of them fridging and/or off-screening women I’m ready to check out for good.

no i'm going to forget who you are pls don't
i knoowwww but i’ve wanted a jane foster icon forever and after ragnarok i don’t want people to just forget her but also i do love this icon and i made it so long ago that i don’t think i even have it saved anymore
I heard you're not having a good day, so here is a nice story.I recently had a stretch of bad days, and ended up spending some time in the hospital. My roommate took wonderful care of my cat Bastet while I was gone and was rewarded with lots of snuggles - though brief, as is her habit. When I came home, though, she climbed on my chest, put her head under my chin, and purred like a diesel engine for five straight hours.
That’s nice she’s back with you. I hope you’re doing okay too.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY FRIEND
Thanks so much! <3
what the hell is a tv license?????
A licence to watch TV in the UK. It’s paid yearly - £147 this year - and essentially just funds the BBC, but if you watch any broadcast TV, even commercial channels, you have to pay. Used to have weirdly threatening adverts.
Italian soda!
Hi Amy : ) Dates have never been my strong suit. Ideally, I would already know the person a little bit. Because I'm autistic, social situations usually feel very high-pressure and uncomfortable for me. Ideally, whoever is taking me on said date would understand that and try to put me at ease. Maybe we would just have coffee and talk, share our favorite songs with each other, then watch the stars. Once I feel more confident with the person and trust them, I don’t mind being wined and dined a bit ;) I’m a sucker for people who make truly make an effort to win me.
I realized I should have asked first: is it okay if gentiles follow/like/reblog your leaves and lights blog?
Yeah, go for it! It’s just my fall/winter aesthetic blog. Everyone is welcome to follow~
