EXPLAIN: On the 12th of March Faruku posted that they were open for custom embroidered patches, in the description it was said that these would be done quickly, in between fursuit work. I hopped right on it and was the first in the queue since the quick turn around time was really what drew me to purchase. Payment went smoothly, idea went smoothly, everything was fine. April 3rd rolled around, not quite a month but I had noticed that my name on the list had a D added to it which meant 'done'. I was told that the artwork was done and I was curious to see a wip of the artwork since that's rather customary to do with custom work. I was really nervous to see if they had gotten the character right or missed something which I've had people do frequently with this character. I was told that they do not have the patches on their trello and my request for a work in progress was ignored. I had felt that I jumped the gun a little this was an artist whom I had never worked with and I've never ordered a custom physical item before. I let this wait around a little bit since I was busy with cons, work, ect and so were they. Four months passed and it was June before I had remembered again so I contacted them on the 16th. I expressed my concerns outright, I always feel open communication and honesty is best in these situations. I was told they had been busy but they could finally give me a wip the next day on the 17th and the finished product would be done the week after on the 23rd. Both dates passed and no communication from Faruku. I decided to wait until after I was not busy to allow them more time to contact me. Over a month later now July 23rd I still have not seen any promised updates, finished products, or apologies. I sent a note of a refund request and I will update when the response to that is given. In conclusion I would really not recommend Faruku as a business to invest your money in. I was always the one to reach out for communication and I feel like I was fed lies to make up for not having any work done. I hope that this may sway them into practicing communication with their clients more often.
UPDATE 7/23
This post can be marked as resolved, Faruku got in touch with me through twitter and notes, issued a refund, and apologized.
