From the River Dagda to the bogs of the northeast, feral cats have made this pocket of Ireland their own thanks to three sisters: Morrigan, Macha, and Badb. It all began recently enough that the oldest of elders might remember their fiery pelts.

The clans of Morrigan and Macha's creation remain, fighting for claim of the Trinity territory pine forest. On the horizon, Badb's legacy waits.

But this story is only for the ears of clan cats. Perhaps you might lend your loyalty to the Trinity and join them?

The ruins of FateClan need their druid. The hollow of HopeClan need their archdruid and their apprentice. The elite positions are open in each clan, too!

“To protect your fate – to foster your destiny – is to show the ancestors your true value as a part of nature.” As you pass through the brambles that lead into FateClan’s camp, a dark shadow swoops overhead and perches in the coniferous canopy. It’s a crow, this close to a cat colony! Its grey and white coloration mimics that of Whisper Fate, the feline who led you here.  Yowl! All eyes focus on the small tom in the center of the clearing whose crow lies dead before him. Whisper Fate continues, voice grim, “And what better place is there to foster destiny than an egg?”

FateClan was the first of the clans. It founded by Morrigan. Following the legend that was Morrigan and her pet crow, Fate, all members of FateClan have a crow that joins them on their travels. How you raise your crow and whether it lives to adulthood determines your place in FateClan society.

has there ever been a FateClanner that attempted to have a companion that was a different sort of corvid to a crow? Or is it exclusively crows?

No, not really! It’s exclusively crows to follow with the myth of the Morrígna and because most if not all other corvids — birds in general, really — are either hunted or chased out.

When I was developing the lore, leaders, elites, and druids could keep ravens, but that involved killing your old crow and it made me sad. The other option was for elites and druids to be chosen from apprenticeship and receive a raven then, but I found that limiting. Crows it is!
