Learning how to shadow travel was a painful practice of trial and error. It was hard to focus exactly on where you wanted to land, when shadows shifted all the time. Mistakes could be costly- there had been a few times where Ryou had no clue where he ended up.
Those times, though, he hadn't felt like he'd been put through the wringer and had been able to travel back rather quickly.
Feet his solid group and immediately Ryou's knees buckled as his vision swam. This wasn't where he meant to go, that he was certain of. He patted to make sure the ring remained tucked neatly under his shirt...
before promptly passing out.

"Pass," comes the immediate answer as he crosses his arms, gaze calculating as it rakes over Vein's frame with no small amount of disdain. "Did you really expect anything else?"

@fatepowered feat. Mazikeenโ cont. from here
Cain eyes the bottle with more than obvious doubt, one brow inching upward slow enough for Mazikeen to track the motion. He's more the beer type of fellow. None to savor the hard liquors... anymore, unless rare occasions call for letting loose, as she puts it. " How could I be so foolish to assume you'd settle with less than utter chaos ", he sighs as if quietly scolding himself. Reaches for said bottle with one hand to turn it on the spot and read the label. She's right, though, pointing out that Cain won't let go sans someone motivating himโ luckily, the mark is gone. If he loses control, he won't go around and slay everything that moves.
" There's not much to say. Sorry, no drama or gossip for you. " Canting his head to one side, Cain slow-blinks in an expression of fake sympathy. Mazikeen will recognize as much. " Let's just say I need a break. From everything. " That said, he opens the bottle to fill their yet empty glasses. " Plus, I may or may not miss bits and pieces of our old times. You know, I still can't believe you never invited me to any of your legendary parties on earth. "

The smile he offers her is almost apologetic. Truly, he does feel a little bit of regret exposing her to danger, but he is also confident in his own ability to protect her from harm. The elf brushes long golden hair over his shoulder, gathering himself before uttering a response. " you might say that. perhaps, it would be more accurate to say you were simply nearby. I do apologize for any inconvenience I have caused, and shall make it up to you, should you request it. "
Rani stared down at the very broken vase in the low, late evening light. Glorfindel had came upon her on the road rather quickly, while she traveled westward into Imladris. There were rumors that the roads were more dangerous, but she had never thought she might get caught in such a thing. The beast and hunter both were practically upon her small camp by the time she had realized what was happening, and she stood beside a large tree, staring at her tipped wagon and the shattered precious porcelain beside the beast's corpse. She had no idea what it was. And she had no idea who the man before her was.
"That's early-Second Age bone china from Eregion. Financial recompense would be...worthless, compared to the piece's historical and sentimental value." She bent down and picked up a foiled piece, where the gold rim had held two shards together. "Your name and some assurance that I won't be devoured in my sleep would suffice as payment, though."
" can you people shut the fuck up for two seconds. "
