Well...We are moving (and staying?)

Thanks to Tumblr's new policy, a lot of our posts (despite having NO nudity) are being flagged. I am currently in the process of exporting the blog so that I have a copy of the community we’ve built here. But it leaves us in a weird position...

There are over 27,000(!!) of you on here and I love you all and I want to continue building this community and putting positivity out into the world together.  I am going to keep the blog on tumblr, both for posterity and for future use if that is possible. 

However... I really want to find a place we can still function without as many restrictions. I would like to take a poll and get some feedback as to where we should move our Fat Girl community. 

One option would be to grow our facebook fan page and our  facebook group page, which would be nice because you could post your own stuff and we could interact easier together. I just worry that there are so many facebook groups for fat communities that we’ll get lost in the shuffle...

Alternatively, I could purchase a domain and start a web page especially for us, which would be cool because we could have more options, like starting to create merch and making multimedia stuff like videos, forums, ect.. however because it is a separate entity (not connected to social media) I am worried the traffic would slow down and we wouldn’t reach as many people to grow our supportive community...and I have no idea how to promote a website (or social media account for that matter :P )

Another option I thought about would be to start an instagram or a twitter and connect those to the page and group we already have on Facebook... Which is kind of the same as having a facebook group but it feels like there would be less accessibility for you all to submit and interact with each other. 

Also, I am SUPER open to suggestions, tips, concerns, offers of help, adding admins, etc...

TL;DR/ Thanks to new guidelines on Tumblr, we need a backup home and I need your help figuring that out because this is an important community that I love and want to nurture and grow together. 

Honestly, It breaks my heart that this has to happen and I don’t want to lose what we have together because it means the world to me.  ANY and ALL input is welcome and appreciated sincerely .

So in Shadowrun you can't have a troll with more than seven charisma and as a very charismatic troll* in real life I am a little cross. . *I mean troll in the "I am very big and strong and have very big teeth" kinda way, not the "being rude to people on the internet" kind of way.

Headstand practice. I should wear shirts that don’t fall down. Sorry about that, but whatever -- deal with the fat.

Unlike yesterday, when I could not get up into the headstand, I did make it on the first try today, however, I had to use the wall a lot before I could get my balance, and then a couple of times during the headstand to keep it. Still really wobbly on these, but I know from experience that it just takes practice to get the balance and strength back, so, working on it.

Hello FGDT!

I just want to check in again and clarify some things: 

I am not shutting down this blog. It will never be shut down by me, they'd have to pry it from my cold dead hands because I love you all far too much to do that.

That being said, if something does happen and we are shut down I am downloading a copy of our stuff and will be able to put us somewhere else in the interwebs...but you’d need a way to find me! 

So, my personal Instagram is @artreat21 and we do have an FGDT insta which is @fatgirlsdoingthings  (which is admittedly blank at the moment, but won’t be for long.) 

If things disappear on here my Instagram is the most direct way to reach out to me. <3 

Additionally, we do have a facebook page and community page AND a twitter handle (that I have no idea what to do with).

Want to be on our Facebook page banner?

Our Facebook page is looking a little absent of Fat Girls and that needs to change! It would be nice to have a collage of featuring some of us for our banner picture, but I need people’s permission before using their photos...

hopefully, some of you are willing to share your photo’s to make this happen...if you are interested, please submit a photo and put in the description that you give permission to use the photo on the FB page. 

Depending on the number of submissions they may not all be used...but either way, I get to see your lovely faces and the post will still be on here!!
