Asra sighed softly as he moved to run a hand through their hair, eyes looking over Lyntel worriedly. He tilted his head as he pondered what he could possibly do to help, wondering if he had the ingredients for a sleeping charm. Or perhaps he could design a sleep sigil for the headboard or...
He'd figure it out.
"Do you want me to come lay down with you, to see if that helps?"

Asra is the chillest dad on the planet. His kid(s) can come up to him for anything, and he’ll happily answer any questions they may have. Or anything they need to tell him.
He believes in productive punishment, not just sitting in time out or being grounded. Every time he has to punish them, he makes sure they understand why and gives a fair consequence. “You have to sweep the kitchen because you decided to smash a plate in your tantrum. That wasn’t very responsible or kind of you to do, so now you have to clean up your mess.”
His kid(s) can be whatever they want to be! Doctor? Neat! Dancer? Pretty! Artist? He’ll buy the paints!
Definitely doesn’t care what the kid wears as long as it’s covering. One day can be pajamas to school, the next could be a Disney Princess dress (for any gender). He doesn’t... Care.
Napping is super important and Asra believes heavily in a napping schedule.
Sometimes if he naps without the kid(s), he’ll let them paint his face or braid his hair or whatever. Just be quiet and don’t stab him in the eye.
Asra packs the coolest lunches; all the other kids are jealous.
Want to roll around in the mud? Cool dirt is a good way to build immunity to diseases. Climb a tree? Only if they’re sure they can get down safely. Need to scream to let out stress? Hell he’ll go out with them and scream too.
He needs help making sure homework gets done. Someone needs to remind him to remind his kid(s).
There’s a science fair coming up? Neat! Asra has like a thousand safe experiments saved somewhere that look REALLY COOL!
When there’s a field trip, everyone wants Asra to be the chaperone because he does magic tricks and brings really tasty snacks.
Being outside with nature is super important, do I hear family camping trips once a month?
Isn’t very pressuring about this subject; kind of letting his partner choose really.
Can take it or leave it; but if his SO is really interested, he can be too.
Wants a very small wedding with close friends, but a HUGE reception where everyone can party.
No matter what, ring or not, he still loves his SO very much.
Doesn’t believe marriage makes a relationship, and it doesn’t have to be an end goal for anyone.
Being married changes nothing; he’ll constantly forget to say husband/wife/life partner, and act as though it’s just another day.
That is of course unless someone else is flirting with his SO, then he’s happy to make a big show out of the title. (”Oh yes isn’t my HUSBAND great? My WIFE is awesome!”)
The honeymoon is really well thought out though, and he takes the time to make plans that will be ignored just so you two can have a lot of fun. Don’t forget to consummate the marriage ;3c
If you give him a ring, Asra sparsely wears it on his hand because he knows he’ll lose it or it might get in the way of his magic/lost in a potion/SOMETHING will happen to his ring if it’s on his hand.
So he puts it on a chain and wears it around his neck instead!
When he does finally get the ring, he gets a little glassy eyed anyway because wow someone wanting to spend the rest of their life with him?? Magical.
No one has to take his last name, but if they want to that’s cool, if they want to combine last names that’s cool, or if they want to keep their original surname that’s also cool.
"Hmmm? But M--... Asra, are you not the one who re-taught me magic?" Arya answers with a sly smirk, mischief abundant in their eyes before looking to Salim. "Ah, I called him /Master/ since well... he was my teacher for a while..."

Asra has absolutely nothing to say as his father’s eyes light up. The only indicator to how he’s feeling is the blush across his cheeks as he pulled his scarf over his nose and everything below.
“He teaches now too? Asra, wow, you seem to be forgetting to mention a lot of things lately! All you said was that you were helping them out, not teaching them how to do magic. Or... Reteaching for that matter.”

The magician didn't remember what he was stressing about, rambling on and on for what felt to be at least the past half hour. He'd paced, he'd wildly gestured; everything to show his stress just short of tearing his hair out. When Julian finally spoke again, cutting him off from his thoughts, Asra blinked a few times as he lowered himself back into reality. At the mention of dancing, he couldn't stop the smirk pulling from his face as a bit of a chuckle escaped him finally.
"I suppose you're right," Asra extended a hand to Julian, "lead the dance then, I think that's just what I need."
