Personality Disorders: Faust

Did two tests. For a before the contract with Lucifer ( unholybloodshed ), and after.

PRE-CONTRACT:

So a lot of people on here will state that the reason why mun and muses work together so well is because the mun shares certain personality traits with the muse. What personality traits do you believe you share with your muse(s)?

Oh boy. While I distinctly avoid making any of my muses self-inserts (I find them weird and cannot RP them nor with them), they’ll naturally always carry some sort of connection to me, since I’m the mind they come from. Some are perhaps more similar to me than I previously thought (or would like to admit), but they are definitely their own beings, with their own thoughts and feelings and ways of doing things.

Rather, I would say they all represent different sides or aspects of me, and then I expand upon the rest of their personality separately from my own.

I’m just gonna do my main four, since I have more muses and I’m currently making even more, haha.

Calamity

Definitely the muse that I have the most in common with (even more than I originally thought/was aware of, no thanks to oblivionxbeckons​ because of this post which scared the bajeezus out of me). He’s mostly my Loner/Conflicted side.

Both of us are…

Solitary/Loner (but in that conflicted way; we think solitude is the better (and safer) option, but still inwardly crave contact and attention)

Sarcastic sense of humor (Mine is both sarcastic & dirty; Cal’s is just plain sarcastic and mean at times)

Stubborn as hell at times (Seriously. There are just some things I refuse to budge on; same with Cal)

Protective of those they care for, but in a stand-offish way (We’ll both protect and fight for those precious to us, but we do it ‘secretly’ and on our own)

Silently possessive (we won’t say anything, we’ll just stand by and seethe lmao)

Proud of things they are good at

Self-destructive tendencies (most of the time indirectly and not on purpose; also usually not aware of it, or if we are, we do nothing to stop it. Both of us have the idea that we deserve it, but if someone else puts us through that shit, we feel attacked/threatened and get defensive, so we don’t ‘suffer’ as we think we should.)

There’s more but yeah that’s a start.

Ophiel

Ha. I wish I could say I had nothing in common with him, but he’s probably my Childish side.

Bratty / Stubborn (Like with Cal, very stubborn. I can also be quite the obnoxious brat when I want to be.)

Cruel / Vindictive (Particularly if we feel victimized or justified, both of us can be fairly cruel)

Secretly lonely / desires companionship

Not necessarily a ‘personality trait’, but both of us grew up with shit fathers. Still, I would choose my father over Ophiel’s 100x over.

Kinda spoiled / doted on as a kid (though I turned out way differently lmao)

Childish (obviously; at times)

Cowardly (I’m not a coward exactly, but I prefer to avoid problems/confrontations in general, and if they pop up, most of the time I will try to find a way around it or to fix it ‘undercover?’ instead of facing it headon. Ophiel talks a big game but if confronted, he really has nothing to back it up, and most of his confidence is forced/fake.)

Lilith

Ironically, there’s not much I have in common with Lilith. She’s very feminine (but has a masculine edge to her), very confident of/in herself and her abilities, she’s comfortable being semi-attached to people and having a variety of connections, she’s a very motherly sort who loves taking care of her children and loved ones… She’s a very strong woman. On the flip side, she’s also a vicious monster, extremely sexual and seductive, and despite her care for others, she has very little sympathy/pity for those that are weak. She’d still be my Sensual/Feminine side as well as Motherly; though these traits are not very prominent in me. The only main things we have in common are;

Protective of those we care about

Afraid/wary of strong emotional attachments

Not really sympathetic towards the weak or inferior

No patience for misogynistic bullshit

Faust

Faust is probably the other character I am deeply connected to. He’s the side of me that’s searching for a purpose, for a reason to exist. He’s also the side of me that’s tortured, angsty, yet hides all of his pain beneath stoicism. He represents Endurance and Struggle. Faust is a guy that has had terrible things done to him, and has done terrible things in return, yet he struggles to hold onto his humanity for the sake of what he’s lost.

Like Cal, both of us are solitary, but both Faust and me were not originally Loner types. We weren’t necessarily outgoing, but we were friendly and open and trusting enough. That changed when we were deeply hurt and had to shut ourselves from the world in order to protect ourselves from it, and the world from us.

Extremely angsty / depressed

Philophobic (scared of love/falling in love)

Both of us have the feeling that we do not ‘belong’ in the world we are in

Reactionary; we do not seek conflict, but will react (and with a vengeance) if it comes to us

Forgives but will not forget

A mix of pessimist and realist

Despite appearing dark, broody and unfriendly, we are both gentle and fragile creatures inside

Distrustful and generally negative view of the world (but unlike me, Faust desires to make it better, lol)

He’s basically a better version of myself. With all the angst and broodiness, but actually has redeeming qualities too.
