how's faux and overseers internal communication? do they have any amnesia?

It's actually pretty good! They usually just commentate on the other's actions, though sometimes Overseer will have passive influence over Faux's actions.

They usually have not very much memory amnesia, but they do have the ability to block out the memories from the other, with both of them having separate journals that are hidden from the other. Additionally, both suffer from emotional amnesia, leading to Overseer being a lot more harsh towards Faux about certain memories, usually involving Faux being "too much of a pushover". It also leads Faux to get upset when Overseer tries to get rid of anything that has any sort of sentimental value.

whats faux and overseers relationship like? do they get along? what does fauxbrand think of the church?

Fauxbrand and Overseer are kind of forced to get along, as if one of them neglects the body to try to hurt the other, they get hurt as well.

When Overseer first formed, Fauxbrand hated him because he represented everything Fauxbrand wasn't: confident, charismatic, powerful. But, as time went on, his thought process shifted to "maybe it's a good thing he's the new host."

On the flipside (haha), Overseer felt very disappointed and a large amount of disgust over Fauxbrand, as he felt as if Fauxbrand had been too cowardly and too lenient in using his powers as a Knight (my word for the demi-deities like Ban Hammer and Fauxbrand) to his advantage. Nowadays, he views him as a useful asset, as Fauxbrand's "soft" approach makes it easier to "carrot and stick" members as well as get information he otherwise wouldn't know.

As for the church itself, it's creation was heavily based in Fauxbrand's insecurities with his own family, as he always felt out of place and the scorching made that feeling 10x worse. So Fauxbrand actually encouraged Overseer to create the Church in his own fucked up way to "make a new family".

But, he knew that it wasn't healthy from the get-go, hence why he gave up Dom and Valk to Windforce before starting it.

you mentioned fauxbrand and i assume thats ur oc so can you tell us about em?

Oh yeah!

I...totally forgot that we had never mentioned them on this profile, but we have posted about him on our art blog.

But, long story short: he's our OC who is Dom and Valk's one parent and Firebrand's one of two kids. Because of the order that things went down in our AU, he had been taking care of the two (who were about 3 or 4) when the Scorching happened and...sort of had a mental breakdown that involved him handing them over to Windforce and then splitting an alter, who became Father Overseer and started the Church of the True Eye.

Very few in the cult is aware of Father Overseer and Fauxbrand being the same person, with many thinking that that Fauxbrand is a shy, quiet secretary and Father Overseer being the imposing leader that they know.

Scythe is aware, so is Medkit, as well as a few others in the cult, but mostly everyone who is aware is a higher up or have some manner of influence (ex. Dollmaker, Broker).

we needed art for icons, and so we drew headshots of firebrands kids in our AU!

first is fauxbrand, then lord overseer (fauxbrand's headmate who split when the scorching happened), icebrand, and...sword!

yeah sword is firebrand's son who is MUCH younger than the other two/three (fauxbrand and icebrand are both roughly in their late 40's early 50's) but he is the only one to have been created solo, with fauxbrand and icebrand having a mother (who i have yet to design).

i had a lot of fun drawing these and i will probably try to draw more of them when the year turns over <3
