For the fifth time already: An Introduction

In case you aren't here from our& main (@eldritchtaur) or our& system account (@theabyssalwarren), hello!

We&'re the Abyssal Warren, a system of [REDACTED] number and of [DATA EXPUNGED] origins! We& collectively use xey/he/it as well as eye/bun/rabbit/eldritch, but we& would prefer you use the fronter's pronouns, as seen here!

And if the fronter doesn't have pronouns listed, feel free to ask and we&'ll bully them (joking) into adding them.

We have a lot of hyperfixations, and whoever's fronting usually reflects that, but there are exceptions. As of writing this, (6/3/2024) it is currently Sonic, but we are very much open for anything that you've seen us post (with very rare exceptions).

We have a lot of AUs that we'll eventually make masterposts for, but the current one we're working on is the Time Goes On AU, which is a rewrite of the majority of Sonic based on source memories and personal discontent with canon Sonic.

Feel free to ask us questions, either about us as a system or about our interests!

We might eventually make a masterpost of every fronter, but for now, know that most alters sign off with [emoji].text.[emoji], and you get to solve our riddles three for who it is. /silly

If we are strangers, I prefer that you use tone tags, but if you are someone we know, its okay if you don't. ^v^

Time Goes On Masterpost

Summary

When Sonic Teo Holguin was young, he lost his parents in a fiery blaze, having to be raised by his Uncle instead. Growing up on tales of his father being a hero, he strives to be just like him, finally getting a taste of being one when he foiled Dr. Eggman’s plans alongside his friends! But, as time goes on, he finds out more and more about himself, his friends, his family, and even finding out more about his rival, who has a lot more…complexities then he first thought.

Also known as: two Sonic nerds (@eldritchtaur/@abyssal-ramblings and @forestdragon778/@forestdragonart ) do a full rewrite of the series, including what we like from Sonic canon, non-canon, and even fanon properties, and then try to make a workable story out of it.

i'm resisting the urge to change our username again...but anyway i thought about our (still a bit work in progress) family tree for the robotnik family so here y'all go

the three who have quotation marks are family members who have done something to essentially be viewed as "cut off" from the family (usually some horrific actions)

so the carton was born plural? or was their trauma they dont remember? im super invested now heheh

It's sorta unclear; they+ theorize that it's they+ always had a split identity because they+ weren't allowed their+ own identity it HAD to be based on someone else. So TECHNICALLY its trauma but also more so being forced to figuratively and literally be multiple people at once as well as forcing down any sort of desires they+ had

Martin 100% formed via neglectful trauma though he's the only one who has a clear origin.

Anyway *holds up the Egg Carton* they+ were always plural as far back as they+ remember. It was always Robotnik, Edmund (Eggman's name before Sonic's involvement), and Tinker (Mr. Tinker's name before they became an adult) and then sometime when Maria was taken to the ARC, Martin formed.

They+ always a connection with technology, with each one wanting to use it for different reasons: Edmund wanted to use it to further their+ reputation, Robotnik wanted to use it to progress scientifically, and Tinker wanted to use it to entertain the masses.

But after some...incidents in their family (as well as the loss of some close friends), Edmund's view still was on proving himself, but more in the energy of "I'll take over the world so no one can destroy me", and he becamse more or less the default fronter for the longest time, though he doesn't consider himself a "host".

Actually, for the longest time, they+ didn't even HAVE a system name. They+ didn't even know what roles were, let alone that you could name your system outside of what the body's name was.

It wasn't until Sonic found out about them+ being a system did Sonic joking call them "The Egg Carton" and they+ just kind of were like "yeah that might as well happen".

Because of Ivo being a system, there's a fun game we like to play called "who made what plan". For example: Eggman was responsible for their "debut" plan in Sonic Adventure, Robotnik was trying to archive information about their+ grandfather that lead to the events of Sonic Adventure 2, and Mr. Tinker wanted to run a fun little race so was responsible for Sonic R.

Uhhh there's probably a lot more I just need more "prompting" if that makes sense?? Like their+ relationship with Shadow, Maria, ect. (which we& DO have a lot of thoughts about but this is getting a bit long so jasodfpojs)
