💕 Your two top fave fictional characters
Go bed ma'am
ONLY TWO??? how dare you make me make this decision there are so mannnyyyy
but if I had to had to HAD TO choose.... probably Leonie from These Old Shades and Devil's Cub (both novels in a series by Georgette Heyer, very fun period drama type books!) and...... Danielle, from Ever After, as portrayed by Drew Barrymore, all of which is fabulous
I am technically in bed, just not sleeping 😂😂😂
Brienne of Tarth and Ron Weasley.
Ahh, my faves. The pressure is felt.
Brienne of Tarth
3 things we have in common: social anxiety, determination to protect those who can’t protect themselves, hot for Jaime Lannister
3 things we don’t: black and white morality, childhood trauma, sheer athleticism
Ron Weasley
3 things we have in common: huge families made up of a lot of red-haired people, often fall short in our own estimation, well aware that Luna Lovegood is all that and a bag of chips
3 things we don’t: my emotional range is bigger than a teaspoon, I also have tact, I tend to shut-down in crisis situations
Top 10 favorite characters
I got tagged by @ceata88 So let’s see if I can narrow it down (I’ve limited myself to only 2 Sailor Moon characters, you’re welcome)
#10 Alexander Hilbert/Dmitri Volodin || Wolf 359
Hilbert is like the definition of the fandom term “trash fave” So he’s at the very bottom of the top 10. He’s a massive asshole, So zoomed out in the “grand scheme of things” He’s more than willing to kill a bunch of people with his scary death virus for the sake of the Greater Good(tm). He also may or may not be dead so...he’s kinda Schrödinger’s scientist atm, we’ll see in a couple days when the next update comes along
#9 Kyouko Honda || Fruits Basket
I rarely talk about Fruits Basket, for the sake of my friends’ Sanity, for a simple reason, it was my first Manga, and the first real fandom I ended up interested in. And the brightest Gem of the beloved comic as far as I’m concerned, is everyone’s favorite dead Mama! Kyouko started out as a very one dimensional “sage wisdom dead mother” character, but when you’re allowed to dig into her past she’s FUCKING AMAZING how hard she tried to be a good mom and how she’d use her title as The Red Butterfly to her advantage, but how hard she worked to keep her past from defining her.
#8 Doug Eiffel || Wolf 359
Ohhh Eiffel. The main narrator and firm protagonist of that lovely little space podcast. He’s gone through hell and high water and is truly the Minako Aino of the Hapheastus station. He’s a lovable dweeb with an arsenal of movie references, sarcasm in spades, and an iron will that would put any Green Lantern to shame.
#7 Chara || Undertale
Chara is such an underappreciated character in the Undertale world. It’s sad how easily and quickly people go around demonizing the poor kid, and their position at the end of the No mercy run makes them incredibly easy to be labelled ‘the villain’ but if you believe the narrator theory, then they’re a delightfully sarcastic pun loving dweeb that has a sense of morality tot he point of not letting you forget your past actions. You fucked up this world, and now you have to live with the consequences, even if you go back to change things.
#6 Papyrus || Undertale
But almost even more underappreciated is Papyrus. A being that’s well aware of the 4th wall and possibly resets, perhaps even moreso than Sans is, but because of his unshakeable moral compass, the very definition of Integrity, he’s overlooked and infantalized in favor of his brother. His boisterous demeanor, strange interests, and heavy coded autism are part of what makes him incredibly relatable to me. I’d be his friend.
#5 Usagi Tsukino || Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon
Usagi, the intrepid protagonist of the wonderful show you all know me for my obsession over. a teenage girl thrust into a world of monsters and magic and death. And she grows strong. her soul is a bright silver crystal and her body is forged in iron, but her heart has remained as big and soft and squishy as it has been since the first episode. Usagi is an example of what I wish superheroes nowadays were allowed to maintain. A hero has to make a tough decision and kill someone? fine. Just let them do it on their terms.
#4 Tony Stark || Various Marvel things
Oh Tony... Oh Tony tony tony.... My poor genius darling has been screwed up by his writers to such a degree where I’m not sure how much I can get into this without going on a long angry rant. Tony grew up in an abusive household. was forced to take up the family business, and then nearly got killed when he found out that said family business had a mole that was selling weapons to enemies. He dedicated the rest of his life to protecting people, to help the world recover from it’s damage and to make up for things that were arguably, not even his fault to begin with. I love Tony Stark, and I always will and I will fight you man
#3 Fredzilla || Big Hero 6
I have an affinity for lovable goofballs as it seems. Fred is like the epitome of Lawful Good. According to the Bh6 read-along guide, he’s been double lifing long before the Big Hero 6 Formed. 90% of this man’s free time is speant doing volunteer work, that last 10% on maintaining his English studies. He seems like that Richboy that does nothing but read comics, but he’s incredibly busy beneath the lackadaisical exterior. Also he’s the first Fictional Hubby I’ve had in AGES (like seriously I think my last one was like... Zuko) And I am unashamed to admit to that.
#2 Mabel Pines || Gravity Falls
But is this really a surprise? Mabel is Mah Girl in a lot of ways. She’s another startlingly underappreciated character, which is sad granted she’s just as much of a protagonist as Dipper is. She’s loud and bubbly and loves arts and crafts and her pig and I love her. She is one of those characters that I would adopt in a ding dang heartbeat.
#1 Makoto Kino || Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon
And Taking the gold is the amazonian lightning goddess herself! Mako-chan! I’ve affiliated myself with Sailor Jupiter ever since my hair has been long enough to put into a braid. She’s everyone I ever wished I could be and shows people that masculinity and femininity aren’t actually as mutually exclusive as one may think. You can bake cakes and bench press the weight of half of your friends and crush any man that says you can’t. Makoto Kino is my role model in a lot of ways and I owe an awful lot to her.
Tagging: Well... hm... I don’t really like tagging, but let’s go with @a-very-bizzare-girl and @marsh0llow Kristi, Layzers, let’s see what y’all got!
top 10 favorite fictional characters
1. Severus Snape (HP)
2. Aragorn (LOTR)
3. Jim Moriarty (BBC)
4. Tyrion Lannister (GOT)
5. Mina Harker (Dracula, either book or Coppola’s version)
6. Samwise Gamgee (LOTR)
7. Ron Weasley (HP)
8. Hector Barbossa (POTC)
9. Claude Frollo (The Hunchback of Notre Dame, either book or Disney version)
10. Mycroft Holmes (BBC)
That was so hard! It should be Top 30 or something! There are certainly characters I forgot. I also don’t know if the ranking is accurate, perhaps it changes from time to time... The Top 3 is steady though.

Without Remorse by Tom Clancy would be such a fine movie :)
RIGHT!?!?! The closest we got was when Antoine Fuqua was going to direct and Joaquin Phoenix was rumored to have been cast as John Clark, but that obviously didn’t go anywhere. (I would have watched the hell out of that movie, btw.)
