I made anti-versions for Cookie and Rip Studwell (my new ship), it's about time. I didn't reverse the names though.

(I'm not completely satisfied with the designs and color choice, perhaps I'll rethink this later)

I'll rewatch the episodes with them to better understand their characters, but for now, here are my spontaneous ramblings:

• Since both are stylish, smug and self-absorbed, their anti-versions dress in whatever they want or have with no taste in fashion, don't really care about their appearance (especially Anti Rip) and have lots of complexes, which they deal with by being together.

• Anti Cookie hates cookies (a gimmick from the Anti Hazel episode, yes), but I haven't come up with her favorite food yet.

• I haven't decided yet, if Anti Cookie has her own pet, I'd probably give her a snake (boa). She'll wear a boa like a boa, + snakes are just the vibe of anti fairies.

• Cookie thinks she knows what kids want and is too self confident. So Anti Cookie is insecure and paranoid about any decision she makes.

• Anti Rip also works as a doctor, but unlike his fairy version, he is really interested in his work, approaches it responsibly, because of which he can even sacrifice himself (he gets so tired and exhausted that he has huge bags under his eyes)

• they are both kind fellas 😊

I feel like I should make this clear.

Yes Junjie was the dark slinger for 20 years making him in -Years-Being-Alive- 36

And Eli being 16 means I shouldn’t be shipping them. (Which come on it’s tumblr there been a lot worse)

But how I perceive it is, Junjie didn’t age mentally or physically and the Goon controlled him for those 20 years without Junjie being mental present. Junjie showed no way of fight to gain control (unlike Eli when he was about to be taken) so I believe he was in a limbo state. Not aging and having no idea where he is.

So to me Junjie is still a child. I get why people don’t ship it especially because Junjie seems more “mature” (main reasoning) but have a look at Junjie‘s culture growing up. He was destined and trained since he was young to be the Eastern Champion taking on the trope of “growing up to fast” and not really getting to be a child. Which is like a normalised Asian troupe in shows/ movies based around western culture.

I get where some interpret this idea, but Junjie at 16 (before the attack on the eastern caverns) he was a mentor towards the younger kids of the east, as he matured faster then the rest of the gang would of had too, as well he isn’t even that mature technically. As he couldn’t understand being as a team sooo, he’s still learning. He also was taking on more responsibilities at Eli’s age and living with a complete-ish family and support system most of his life up until that point, where Eli had only been living in Slugterra for a year without his dad around, probably no mother and no friends.

I’m not saying you don’t have to change your mind on the ship, but look at it from a different angle and stop shitting on people for wanting different dynamics
