Do you think Junjie forgets that he’s in the eastern caverns. Like he didn’t spend a lot of time in the 99 but he got so used to sleepy around other people, and being with the same friends for months that being alone in the eastern caverns feels uncanny. Like he should have four other people around him. He has Lian and Hamengku but they have their responsibilities.
He’s missing his family

Honestly, Junjie searching for a way to visit the 99 caverns just because he’s reeling from loneliness is so fascinating and such a juicy change of character. Like a whole plot point in the beginning of his arc was being too independent, so developing too far in the other direction, becoming too attached to the gang, is such a fascinating take
