I think it's also important to talk about Kaine being intersex in Nier. That's also a rather obscure fact but it's still important and a good example of a queer character, imo

I have not played Nier! It's one of those things I vaguely intend to check out at some point, but there are a lot of things before it on the to-play list (like the 1092028 games I own and haven't played yet, ha ha). I had heard that about Kaine, though, and it is good to hear that you think it was handled well!
