- cassandra can be a little stern, but she always means well. she wants the best for her baby! and she’s always there to take care of you.
- cassandra is “mummy”. if you’re too small, “mumma” is okay too, but she loves being called mummy the most. it’s what caitlyn used to call her :>
- she loves to read to her little :) always picking out a book to read at bedtime, sitting with you nestled in her lap on a rocking chair.
- she might not be able to carry you, but she’s always holding your hand, or putting a gloved hand on the back of your neck to help guide you. especially if you get overwhelmed in crowds easily.
- uses terms like “darling”, “dear”, “dearie”, “poppet”, “love”, and “sweetheart”.
- she likes to play the piano! sometimes she’ll let you sit in her lap while she plays a soothing song for you. she’ll even try to teach you! guiding your small hands along the keys, helping you play a simple tune. “oh my, darling, you’re doing so well! mummy’s very proud of you.”
- she would absolutely set up a nursery, get all kinds of pacifiers and toys, just for you when you tell her about your regression. even if she doesn’t understand it at first, she does her research, and goes all in on spoiling her baby.
- she’s always fussing over her little. she carries around a handkerchief just so that she can wipe little specks of dirt, or food, off of your face when you get messy.
- runs a nice, warm bath every night for you. she’s as gentle as can be, helping you get all cleaned up before bedtime. she always picks out the coziest pajamas to dress you in afterward.
- loves to sit by the fireplace when it gets dark out, holding you in her lap while she rocks you to sleep. “hush, poppet… mummy’s here. close those little eyes.”
- she can’t always keep up with you when it’s playtime, but she loves to watch, making sure you’re being safe. her favourite activity is to take you on strolls through the gardens and the greenhouses, letting you pick flowers or dig around for bugs.
- vi was always expected to be the strong one, the big sister… she regresses to let go of that weight, to let herself feel small and protected.
- at first, vander doesn’t really know what to think of it, but he ends up loving taking care of her when she’s small. he often feels guilty for not being the best father figure when she was younger, and to him it’s like getting a do-over, to take care of her properly.
- the first time vi mumbled out “dada”, vander nearly started crying. he had to take a breath and calm himself, before whispering back: “shh… dada’s here.”
- vi is soooooo clingy when she’s small. she needs her dada at all times. she’s so used to holding in all her emotions when she’s big, but when she’s regressed she gets so, so weepy. vander always freaks out a little when she starts crying, but all she usually needs is to be in his arms for a little while.
- vander loves to carry her around. he’s a big guy, and vi feels so small being in his arms. he carries her around on his hip, fixing things around the bar.
- vi can get pretty fussy about bedtime, but vander is always adamant on her getting enough sleep. he’ll pick her up, letting her nestle into the crook of his neck, and rock her back and forth, putting on her favourite record to lull her into sleep. her voice will be all quiet, mumbling: “no… don’ wan’ sleep, dada…”. but he just keeps rocking her back and forth, and she can’t help but start to drift off. “shh, shh… my girl’s gotta get her rest. make her stronger.”.
- vander calls her “my girl”, “kiddo”, and sometimes “pup”.
- vi regresses to a slightly older age (early teens maybe) when she’s regressing with jinx. she’s her big sister, and likes to take care of her even when she’s small.
- jinx often regresses involuntarily, usually because of a meltdown, and vi is always there to comfort her. vi will start crying as well, seeing her baby sis hurting, and can start to feel smaller herself just from that.
- jinx is the weepiest baby of all time… full-blown sobs at the tiniest little things. and she’s always blaming herself, apologizing over every little thing. “m’sorry… sorry, vi, i’m sorry…”. “shhh, pow-pow… it’s okay, i’m not mad at you.”
- absolutely do not seperate these two… when they’re regressed, they need each other. if vi regresses while jinx isn’t around, she’s always calling out for her sister… and if jinx regresses without vi, it’s a total disaster.
- jinx can sometimes get really, really small, and not be able to speak. vi loves listening to her babble, and pretends to understand what she’s saying. she’ll have a big smile on her face, saying: “yeah, pow? you talkin’ to me?”
- they’re both incredibly clingy, and every playdate eventually turns into them just cuddling on the couch.
- vi’s favourite thing in the world is when jinx gets small enough and she can use her bottle. vi loves holding her, cradling her in her arms, holding up the bottle while she drinks from it. it always makes jinx sleepy, and they end up falling asleep together just like that.

After a long, dreary day of meetings, Cassandra was finally home. Tobias was off visiting family for a few days, so it was just her and Caitlyn in the manor for the time being. It was dark out, her meetings ran a little late, and she was happy to finally be done with it all, to have some time for herself.
But when she arrived in the parlor, hoping to relax and read a book, she noticed that there were toys from the nursery strewn about the carpet, and Caitlyn’s favourite teddy left abandoned on one of the couches. She let out a little sigh at the sight. Caitlyn’s regression had been an interesting change in their lives, but not an unwelcome one. Cassandra was happy to look after her, to take care of her little girl again. She often felt guilty for being so hard on her when she was a child… this was like a do-over.
Of course, the toys could only mean one thing. Caitlyn must have regressed while she was away. The thought worried her, and she set out to find her daughter, hoping that everything was alright. After all, she knows just how easy it can be for her to get overwhelmed when she’s small, and the thought of her daughter sad and alone… it just broke her heart.
After some searching around the manor, Cassandra stopped by one of the large glass doors leading to the courtyard. There, just outside, sitting in the grass, was Caitlyn. She was sitting cross-legged, her eyes down, focusing on whatever it is she was doing. It was raining that evening, not too heavily, but enough to get Cassandra worried about Caitlyn catching a cold out there.
She pushed open the glass door, and stepped outside, standing under the patio roof to avoid getting wet. “Darling?”, she called out, raising her voice just enough so that the girl would be able to hear her.
As soon as she did, Caitlyn’s head rose up, looking over at where Cassandra was standing. Her eyes lit up at the sight, and instantly she was up on her feet, rushing over to her mother.
“Mummy!”, she called out, and wrapped her arms around her. Cassandra let out a little chuckle at the action, stepping back a bit as she pat the girl’s back with one of her gloved hands. “Sweetheart, you’re drenched.”.
Caitlyn took a step back, and looked at her mother’s clothes, now wet from the hug. Her smile faded, and a small pout formed in it’s wake. “I’m sorry, mummy…”
“Oh no, my darling, hush, it’s alright.”, Cassandra soothed, cupping her daughter’s cheek with a gloved hand. “You must be freezing.”
Caitlyn’s smile returned just a little bit at the soothing gesture, leaning into her mother’s palm.
“Why don’t we get you inside, hmm? You desperately need a bath, dear.”.
Caitlyn’s eyes widened, and her little pout returned. “But… wan’ keep playing, mummy.”.
Cassandra’s eyes softened. “Oh, poppet, I know… but you’ve been playing all this time, haven’t you? While mummy was away.”.
Caitlyn looked down at her shoes.
“Mummy will run you a bath, alright…? And tomorrow morning, I’ll take you on a stroll through the gardens. How does that sound, my love?”
Caitlyn looked up at her, and her smile returned. She nodded her head enthusiastically.
Cassandra’s lips quirked up into a small, soft smile seeing her nod. “There we are, poppet. Let’s get you cleaned up, shall we?”

After bath time was over, and Caitlyn was all clean, changed, and ready for bedtime, Cassandra took her daughter’s hand, guiding her to the parlor. Caitlyn always had trouble falling asleep, and she knew just the trick to help.
Cassandra took a seat in one of the armchairs, a cozy one with pillows. She patted her lap, and Caitlyn happily took a seat, nestling against her mother’s shoulder as she cradled her. “There we are… comfortable, darling?”.
Caitlyn nodded her head, already being soothed by her mother’s embrace and the sound of the fireplace crackling. It was warm and safe.
Cassandra smiled softly, rubbing her daughter’s back. “You were very brave, sweetheart… getting all small while mummy was away. But I’m here now, dear… Just let mummy hold you, okay?”.
Caitlyn nodded again, her eyes already starting to droop closed. Cassandra chuckled gently, and brought a hand up to cradle the back of her head, letting her rest her head on her shoulder. “Hush now, darling… mummy will be right here when you wake up.”.
She began to hum a little lullaby, gently rocking her back and forth, pressing the occasional kiss to the top of her head as she lulls her into sleep. Caitlyn might be taller than her now, but she’ll always, always be her lovely little girl.
