little greg hirsch x carer tom wambsgans headcanons …
greg is very clingy when it comes to being little. he’s always wants tom to hold him, hear his voice. as long as tom is in his line of sight, the little guy’s fine.
greg’s reg age is 0-5, but he mostly stays in the middle. but tom loves when greg is at his smallest, it brings out the best in him.
greg’s always asking tom for “uppies” very timidly, and tom is always willing to hold his baby close to his chest.
tom had the idea to make a nursery/playroom at his apartment for greg. and greg thought it was so cool, he could spend the night without having to go home and be big, plus shiv was totally fine with it.
since greg’s father was never around, tom was that father figure for greg. now he’s finally “daddy’s little boy.”
greg calls tom “tommy” mostly, and “daddy/dada” when he’s feeling a bit smaller. the first time greg said it, he was so embarrassed, not even wanting to look at tom. but tom just gave him a kiss of reassurance, letting greg know he wasn’t mad at all.
tom calls him all sorts of grossily cute nicknames, but his favorite of all is “greggy.” he even calls him that when greg’s big.
tom has many pictures on greg and mondale in his phones of course. both of his best boys!!!
tom loves reading to greg, and just talking him to sleep. greggy drooling and softly snoring against his daddy is tom’s heaven.
greg also likes to steal tom’s things so he always has his daddy by his side.
“greggy, do you know where daddy’s favorite pocket square went?” and greg’s immediately shaking his head like he’s innocent, but tom knows he has it, and just wears another one.
greg uses a teether mostly instead of a paci, he really likes the gel key ones ^-^
tom has “daddy and greggy” lunchtime in his office sometimes, and there hasn’t been a day where greg hasn’t asked for a bite (or two) of tom’s sandwich.
greg likes watching soft, under-stimulating shows while tiny. they just put him straight to sleep. until mondale’s licking his face until he’s awake 20 minutes later.
tom usually teases greg playfully when he’s feeling a little fussy, but when he knows the boy is about to have a full blown meltdown, he’s always swift to de-escalate the situation, giving greg his comfort things and giving him and big ol’ hug with some words of encouragement. “it’s okay to cry, greggy. daddy’s got you.” tom ends up with a wet spot on the shoulder of his $459 knitted sweater, but he doesn’t care. he loves his boy too much to care.
