He was comfortable. That was the only way Ryan could explain how he felt in that moment, his arm around his boyfriend, with Alex’s head on his chest. They were tucked up in bed watching a film -- which was an endeavour in itself, they decided in the end to search romantic comedies on Netflix to see what they could find. Ryan thought that Alex’s taste in movies was antiquated, but nevertheless, they ended up watching an old film. That was until Ryan’s phone started buzzing on the nightstand. He reached his free arm over to it and picked it up, seeing Elliot’s name on the Caller ID, he decided to answer, as much as he wanted to ignore it and carry on enjoy the serenity of the moment Alex and himself had managed to slip into. He answered the phone and smiled at Alex, who appeared to be half asleep. 

“this better be good, el.” he laughed down the phone.

Suit & Tie

“Can I show you a few things?”

Brooklyn stared into the body length mirror , the black bowtie and black tux hugged his athletic body. Shooting his cuffs , he stared at the silver strapped band around his wrist for the time , his brown orbs looked back up at the mirror for a final check through before he manage to head out the door. 

The annual football ceremony , a black tie affair dedicated to funding the school and for the alumni to flaunt their wealth. As quarterback , Brooklyn was expected to be there and his excitement for the event was low but his anticipation evolved as she agreed to be his date. 

He needed a date who he could proudly show off , be competent in a professional setting , and most importantly, someone he could have fun with. It just happens , he had a friend who qualified for all those roles. 

Knock.Knock.

Alex hadn’t seen Elliot in far too long. Too long his mother had texted him to go and see her. And then it dawned on him how much he put Ryan in the front seat when his own cousin was at the university and be maybe had last saw her at Christmas... maybe. He didn’t want to lose his connection with her, she was one of his maybe three cousins (his family was so small). 

And this is what lead Alex to walk across the quad and to Elliot’s dorm room. He didn’t even knock he just came in, kicking off his shoes before going to lay in the bed next to her. Much like he and Sara used to. 

“El wake up,” he hummed, pushing her back softly. “We need to talk.”
