oh, this was bad. in hindsight, he wasn’t entirely sure how this had happened. all he did know, however, was that he was lying on the ground now – bleeding out in such a way that already made his head feel seven shades of WOOZY. 

his hand pressed against the pain in his side, where he assumed the blood was coming from, and his jaw clenched as a wave of pain overcame him. HUMOUR, he thought. he’d use humour to try and lighten the situation.
