hot take but I really, really hate that Fortune's Weave won't have an avatar
The new Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave HAS to be a sequel and not a prequel.
Reasons? Simple.
We know what happened during early Fodland and when Sothis was alive. And we know Crests didn't become a thing in humans until the Nabateans were all murdered. Yet we see lots of people with crests in the trailer. We even see a hero's relic. Those didn't come to be until AFTER Sothis died. Rhea, Setith and Flayn were the only ones left. So who's the new guy, if the crests already are distributed among the people, how can a Nabatean be in a position of power. We know he's a Nabatean because of the pointy ears which he proudly displays not hides. I think that guy is either Flayn's child or/and perhaps even Byleth's grandchild/great grandchild. (It may be Byleth's dormant Nabataen blood created the new guy.) Either way his existence along side the existence of crests is proof this has to be AFTER 3 houses. Also there's guns.

honestly, I get why we keep calling him alucard, even though I don't know who alucard is, I do not condone the decision to name him "dietrich", like, whyyyyy? I have no words just whyyyyyyyyyy
