Pov: Corrin chooses Nohr
so i finally started playing FE fates and boy i love the hoshido gang so much.
yeah i only have birthright and (currently playing) revelations.
TO CELEBRATE THE 3RD ANNIVERSARY OF FE FATES !

Let’s go with everyone’s favorite dragon princess!
(Also, spoilers for Fire Emblem Fates ahead, so for anyone who doesn’t wanna be spoiled, just keep scrolling.)
Give me a character and I will answer:
Why I like them: For one thing, that character design is soooo gorgeous. The armor and the hair aaaaahhhh. So pretty! Also because Corrin is genuinely a kind-hearted person who just wants the best for the people she loves even though she doesn’t always know how to do it. Also her dragon form is super cool-looking.
Why I don’t: Because Corrin is the player’s avatar, I feel like her character suffers a bit due to trying to fit in every single game mechanic into the plot, and because she had to be somewhat of an empty slate so that players could project onto Corrin. Fates didn’t have the best writing, and you can kinda see that with Corrin. There are so many plot contrivances when it comes to Corrin. I mean, you wanna have kids in the game? “Okay so there’s this baby dimension where Corrin and their lover drop their kids in and they grow up super fast in there because maaaagggiiiiccccc.” People still wanna marry the Hoshido siblings despite them being advertised as Corrin’s birth family? “Okay so turns out Mikoto left this random letter that says, ‘Jk kids, you’re not actually related so it’s cool’ and we also have these magical ruins in the game that say, ‘Corrin’s not related to the Hoshido kids so it’s cool’ so Corrin can totally marry these guys now, it’s cool.” Ugggghhhh. I love Fates, but god it can get absolutely ridiculous.
Favorite episode (scene if movie): (Fates is a video game so we’ll go with scenes) The scenes in the prologue where we see Corrin interacting with the Nohr siblings and it shows us her dynamics with her adopted siblings. They are such an adorable and loving family (except Garon, nobody likes Garon) and I love it.
Favorite season/movie: (Fates is a video game so nothing here)
Favorite line: “I make my own fate!”
Favorite outfit: Her Hoshidan noble armor, I love its design!
OTP: Corrin and Robin (thanks to you Rin, dang it you got me shipping it too)
Brotp: Corrin and Felicia. They’ve known each other since childhood so I love thinking that they’re super close.
Head Canon: Corrin was a super energetic kid when she was young. Because she was always confined to the Northern Fortress, she made it her mission to explore every inch of that place, because what else could she do when she wasn’t studying or training? There would be times where Felicia, Flora, and Jakob would be searching the whole fortress for her because Corrin was just way too good at hiding.
Unpopular opinion: Eeeehhhh, I can’t think of anything except I don’t like shipping her with any of the siblings, Hoshido and Nohr. I prefer all of their relationships to be super platonic. I know Xander and Corrin is a popular ship in the fandom, but eeeeeehhhh I keep it platonic because them being romantic is very weird to me.
A wish: I wish Fates could have had better writing for Corrin’s backstory. I wish Corrin can live happily with her families and feel loved.
An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: Don’t ever separate this girl from her two families or kill off her siblings. Let her be happy.
