5. Has fandom ever ruined a pairing for you?

Not a pairing exactly, but the endless wank over Ike's sexuality combined with my overall lack of interest in him as a character pretty much killed my enjoyment of either of his ships even in a detached analytical way. There's certainly enough material in canon to make a video for Ike/Soren and/or Ike/Ranulf like I did for Dimidue, but I won't be the one to do it.

PWP featuring Ike can, occasionally, still be entertaining.

7. Is there anything you used to like but can’t stand now?

Three Houses discourse used to be fun in the way that watching internet arguments over trivial things can so often be, but over two years out and it's still the same stale talking points repeated ad nauseum with no end in sight until IS finally announces a new game. Some of it can still be entertaining, but I think those of us who've watched the fandom grow up since (pre)release are all pretty worn out at this point and have largely moved on. I feel like it's been at least a year since I've had notable new ideas concerning FE16 that weren't about 100% completion. Kind of makes me wish I'd started my YouTube channel a year earlier, honestly....

24. Would you recommend XXX to a friend? Why or why not?

I actually have recommended FE to a few people, both the newer ones for an accessible introduction to the franchise and older (emulated) titles for those who were familiar with the newer games and wanted to try out something a little different. I'd think you'd need at least some RPG or tactical background to want to get into FE though; calling the series "chess with JRPG tropes and incest" may be relatively accurate in a tongue-in-cheek way, but it doesn't really sell it. Mostly I've gotten people into it on the basis that it's another long-running Nintendo-exclusive IP that tends to generate a lot of curiosity based on its appearances in Smash (and how much Smash fans love to complain about it).
