I’m toying with the idea that until Darkwing interrupted the flow of events in the Negaverse, that the Fearless′s social dynamics were actually the inversion of the Fearsomes’.
Where the supervillains have differing motives but the same goal (money) and so were able to form a group and work together, the opposite was true in the Negaverse.
Four ultimately good-hearted, well-intentioned people with the same motives who simply could not agree about pursuing the same goal. They would often coincidentally show up at the same place and clash.
NegaJack wanted to restore innocence and peace to the worndown city and refused to fight at all lest he end up a bad influence, solving problems via pacifism;
Gigawatt considered himself a rebel and was selfishly focused on his own issues of taking over powerplants (to “feed” the electronics), his hatred of the corrupted St. Canard law enforcement and its system, and his desperation to overthrow Negaduck at any cost;
The NegaLiquidator took to the streets as he felt all of the city’s issues could be solved by personally reasserting the fair and equal rights of the original (&very ignored) law, correcting both the local authorities and civilians who commit injustice and unkindess;
And NegaBush? Simply wanted to be left alone while he gave up on the admittedly jaded people of St. Canard and focused on restoring the environment to a tolerable degree of nontoxicity and livability. You may or may not be shocked at how often this goal got in everyone else’s way, considering the shenanigans of our Bushroot from the Posiverse.
The Fearless Four would have continued to get in each other’s way and endlessly bicker (not unlike Darkwing and Gizmoduck) while having their butts handed to them (by Negaduck and probably also NegaGizmoduck), if Darkwing Duck had not entered the picture.
