👻 - How does your muse handle feeling scared? Do they enjoy horror? Do they believe in the paranormal? What calms your muse down? Do they have any scary stories?

Fear is very subjective to DK. He can get startled by something, but not really dwell on things or get creeped out by them. He was fearful he might not get to his Dad on time to stop him from being sacrificed by Bowser, but his reaction to such fear is action. He stops thinking about himself and only accomplishing what he knows will stop the outcome of his fears.
In situations where he's a bit more nervous, he tends to combat the feelings with humor and sarcasm. It's hard to notice you're sweating when you're firing off zingers and nervously chuckling. Granted, this could be a side effect from smoking too much jungle weed around the time of an unfortunate encounter.
DK doesn't understand aspects of horror, seeing most 'evil' foes as heads to bounce on and drive away. Occasionally him and the crew will get weird rumors about some unusual creature causing chaos in the jungle, and while Dixie and Diddy fall behind DK's lead, shivering and telling each other what kind of horrible, probably-a-ghost, thing they were going to find, DK just wants to get the job done and will stoop to jump-scaring the two for fun.
"All right, I got a damn good scary story for you. It's a true story. Look into the next mirror you see, and you'll see what I'm talking about."
Mario quirked a brow, not missing a beat. "Sorry, I'd check that out but your face cracked the last mirror in stock."
