Release all your fears to your light source (God, Jesus, Angels, Ancestors, Whomever!) Just get that energy out of you, so you can resonate in the highest energy of love and light. COMMUNITY PRAYER
On the last Friday of each month, our Hands family visits one of our communities for a dedicated time of encouragement and prayer. We gather at the care point along with all of the care workers and primary care givers of that community. Someone from Hands gives an encouraging message that is specific to that community. In January, Craig was asked to give that message. He spoke on Fear vs. Love.
2 Tim 1:7 “For God has NOT given us a spirit of Fear, but of power and of Love… a spirit of fearfulness does not come from God.”
After the message, volunteers, care workers and care givers went around the care point and prayed for the community and prayed away the spirit of fear.
It’s after this time of prayer that we go out into the community and do holy home visits. It was then that Craig really understood the depths of the darkness in that community. He arrived to a gogo’s (grandmother) home who was caring for her 12 year old grandson. She was distraught because the young boy had just raped a 6 year old girl the week prior, while other boys looked on. He even encouraged the youth to participate with him. To know that this little girl has had her innocence taken away in such a terrible way at such a young age is sickening. But then our hearts and thoughts went to the little boy. What has happened to him, what has he seen that could stir him to commit such an act? Surely, this isn’t something that is instinctual for a young boy. This grandmother was living in fear because she knew the police were aware and were busy trying to figure out what to do with this young boy.
Another group of us visited a different home. They arrived to find Gogo Louise*. She is a care worker who visits the vulnerable children in her community. Even though she wants to encourage the most vulnerable children in her community, Gogo Louise is also living in fear. She shared with the team how one recent morning she woke up to find ‘muti’ outside her front door. This is a ‘traditional medicine’ meant to bring a curse upon the house and the people in it. Seeing it, sent Gogo Louise into a fit, screaming and running to an entirely different community. She left her frightened children behind for the night. A couple found her and brought her into their home, where she spent the night. They spoke words of truth to her. As a child of God, this muti has no power over her life. She then returned to her home. Many people in this community live in fear of witchcraft.
“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.” 1 John 4:18
Please join us in praying against the Spirit of Fear in our communities. Join us in praying for the families that we shared about here, for the 12 year old boy to find healing and forgiveness and for the sweet 6 year old girl to be comforted and healed as well. Pray for these gogos to put on the shield of faith with which they can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

“Okay you guys have gone a total of ten minutes without disappearing into your own world. What’s wrong?” She asked frankly.
“Doe, leave it,” Marlene sighed, already tired of it. Her pride however, wasn’t.
“No she’s right,” Lily said sternly, but kindly. “I’ve never seen Sirius look so murderous.”
