Angel’s Feather Spell (MTG Inspired)

A spell to help you heal and bring good health. (Though always be sure to seek medical care when ill or injured, this spell is to help you with proper medical care. It is not a cure all!)

You Will Need:

✨ A white feather ✨ Unakite ✨ Rosemary ✨ Rose Petals ✨ Mint ✨ White Candle

Steps:

✨ In a bowl play your herbs and flower petals. Light your white candle next to it

✨ Place your unakite into the bowl of herbs and place your feather on top of the crystals and herbs

✨ Hover your hands over the bowl and feather and focus on all of the healing energies from the crystal, candle and herbs being absorbed into the candle. Keep focusing on this as you speak

✨ “Feather white, feather of light, bring me health and bring me delight.” Repeat as many times as you need.

✨ Once you are satisfied blow out your candle and carefully move your feather through the smoke a few times, careful not to singe it on any ashes left

✨ Keep your feather near your bed or hang it on your wall to bring you good health and help you heal and recover. Cleanse it regularly with the smoke of a blown out white candle or moonlight.

Sorry if I'm bothering you, but I want to know if it's okay to use the molted tail feathers and reg. feathers from my cockatiel for feather spells and such, and what can I do with them?

Hey anon!  Thanks for the question; I like the way that you think!  And don’t worry - you’re not a bother at all <3 <3

As long as they were naturally shed or lost in a situation where they were coming off anyway - like at a vet’s office (general psa: don’t pluck your bird’s feathers for magick please <3) -then yes, you can definitely use those feathers in your witchery ^_^  

I don’t know if I’ve ever seen any written associations for cockatiel feathers before, but in my opinion they would be an excellent addition to any of the following types of spells (and I’ve linked to my associated tags) :

Air Spells

Communication Spells

Happiness Spells*

Self-Love Spells*

*This is assuming that your bird didn’t molt due to stress, and that it was a natural molt <3  Feathers lost to stress would best be used in curses, in my opinions.

Here are a couple of other ideas for you:

You can add them to a handmade Witch’s Ladder

You can add them to a DIY Feather Pen for a little boost of happiness

They’d also be especially good as additions to any spells that you cast for your cockatiel as well, because those feathers would be the same as hair when it came to making a taglock!  So you may want to save a few for future use in case you need to do any healing magick for your bird; here’s a link to my spellbook’s Spells for Pets tag, in case <3

Feathers by themselves are associated with the element of air, so they can be used any spell that requires a representation of air; they’re also excellent additions to any jar spell that they can feasibly be added to while still being beneficial to the spell, in my opinion, because…they’re really pretty to look at.  That’s it.  Hey, at least I’m honest! lol

Feathers in spells

I see a few spells that call for feathers, but most of them specify white feathers. Is there anything out there that peacock feathers could be used for?
