just piping in to say that my husband is 12 years older than me (43 to my 31) and we've been very happy together for ten years now. Depending on the ages involved, 12 year difference is not impossible

I am a little tho. The death doesn’t bother me, but it feels kinda like a cheap tearjerker? idk it doesn’t have much substance beyond “oh look one of our faves is dead” :s I just couldn’t picture that phrase in the “haters gonna hate” variant with that particular ship because... idk I don’t see them needing that kind of validation from each other? So I had to think of alternative meanings for the phrase.
