What does it mean for the book? Curious about the imagery!

Ah, so there’s a chapter about half-way through were Sophie and Michael (who is the apprentice, but he’s a teenager in the book) find themselves at a swamp at night. Essentially, there are stars falling and they’re crying out for help, since once they hit the ground they die. 

Calcifer is revealed to be one of those stars, so the reason why Howl gives him his heart is to keep him alive.

that’s honestly amazing because i had heard of it way before it came out and i was interested because Chihiro is cute and i like fluffy slice of life anime but i was kinda worried ;x; thanks a bunch for letting me know or i probably wouldn’t have watched it

Aha, while I wouldn't go that far, the idea of Lillie's character does sound too much like N for the writers not to have noticed...

I almost think it’s intentional but yeah sadly not that far. I miss my gen 5 babies and I’m hitting desperation levels but at least I realize it haha

Also, even though the BW! trio had the calmest separation ( without being completely lukewarm like Haruka's send-off), when the flashbacks started playing, I was tearing up! I would've cried, probably, if not for Dent's ridiculous "it's ( ) time!" memories making me laugh. xDDD

I actually did cry. HARD might I add. People at college thought someone close to me died. It was a little embarrassing...
