The internet is cutoff again at 1:00 AM. We still wake up with dark circles underneath our eyes. We have not been able to sleep at night. We have been patrolling our neighborhood. We still have to be alert and even my family who live in major city have to prepare the emergency kits and packages. Every household has to put their sticks, baseball bats and slingshots in the readily accessible places. We are not safe at night!
Internet is restored at 9:00 AM. During the internet blackout some flights to Kunming are detected by some people but not so much news of major raids and arrests.
The protests are still happening across the country. The demonstrators chanting has include more of people urging to participate in CDM. The Central Banks of Myanmar and some banks own by military are stationed with police and military. People learned from yesterday experience that people avoid those police and military stationed areas. People who bank in the military own banks tried to cash out their money and the bank only cash out less than the demand amount by them.
In Mawlamyaing, a train without passenger from the city is halted by the protesters who stand in the train track. The train has to go back to the city. In Yangon, the Yangon Circular Railway (Insein) is forced to resume and the staffs who are participating in the CDM lie on the track to protest against the use of force and refuse to comply.
In Thandwe Township (southern Rakhine), 4 protesters have been arrested this morning and over 800 people demand the police to release them.
In Mandalay, some people get hit by the police. One of the boy who got hit is said to be a person with disability. You can see the footage in my previous post. The young people paint the road "We want Democracy". But at night time, they are getting washed by the military and police.
Around 9:00PM in Mandalay, 9 military trucks full of police and soldiers arrive to Aung Tharyar 45th street. They start hitting people and use slingshots and airgun (I am not sure what kind of gun they used but the gun sounds can be heard from the live footages). The casualty is still unknown.
At midnight, people when people using MPT (Myanmar Post & Telecommunication) receive messages in Chinese from 7979 (a number used for promo sms).
We are deeply sorry to hear that a Chin ethnic, Salai Khua Kung passed away. He was arrested due to participate in CDM and was hit by a militay car!
P.S. I was planning to post this yesterday but the internet was cutoff while I am posting.
