Cornel (Cornus officinalis) is a dogwood with a long history of use in Asian and European herbal medicine. Its berries hang down instead of being clustered together in a bunch like our native Cornus florida. Because of how they are attached, they tend to stay on the tree longer and grow bigger (which some of C. Florida’s berries do, but many fall off). . . The medicinal properties are similar. The berries are useful for dizziness and sometime tinnitus, and the bark indices sweating and helps to resolve fevers. . . . #dogwood #corneliancherry #cornus #febrifuge #herbalist #herbalmedicine #wildfood https://www.instagram.com/p/B1y_0XiF0ev/?igshid=1vc07zxjcstcg
