Sub-Saharan Africa 113 years ago today: Conquest of the Sahara (12 Feb 1906) https://buff.ly/2WXhQ9x The first French military expeditions crossed the Sahara in 1900, defeating the Ahaggar Tuareg in 1902. However, it was not until 1906 that the French sent a permanent occupation force to Agadez and thereby secured their control of trans-Saharan trade to the west of the Tibesti Mountains. #subsaharanafrica #history #welovemaps #map #1900s #1906 #africa #africanhistory #agadez #colonialism #chad #february #february12 #frenchempire #frenchsahara #frenchwestafrica #imperialism #germanempire #niger #britishempire #tuareg #maps #sahara #tibesti #todayinhistory #historytoday #historyteacher #historygeek #historybuff #historynerd (at Agadez) https://www.instagram.com/p/BtxkhZ8gYAc/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=wh1oct4untbq
For the Love of Outlander
28 Days of Outlander - Day 12
What Book/Season 1 Jamie/Claire moment is your favorite?
Oh my! I can’t pick just one!! 😍
I love when they first meet. Claire is scared, she’s just been assaulted by BJR then carried off my Murtagh. Only to arrive in a cabin full of men, some who joke about making advances and assaulting her again. Then she noticed a man in pain, and she puts on her ArmyNurse face and orders the men out of the way.
I love the scene in Season 1 where she warns them about the British ambush, and after being unceremoniously dumped from the horse, she tries to escape. Then Jamie appears, and is like I’ll throw you over my busted up shoulder, you don’t want me to hurt myself again do you? And Claire is like of course not!!
Of course the scene where she’s cursing him for trying to bleed out on the side of the road, where she doctors him after she’s had too much to drink and after taking Leghair’s punishment, when she flirt/teases him about Leghair.
Don’t you care that I’m not a virgin? No, only if you don’t mind that I am. One of us should know what they’re doing. 😏 THE WEDDING!!! 😍😍😍🤪 I said I was a virgin, not a monk. Precious Claire.
Where they sneak off to go “refill canteens”; but then the damn deserters have to intervene.
Take your hands off my wife. Then the fight that ensues between them, because it’s so heated volatile. And the make up afterwards. Always forgiven.
I want ye Claire; I want ye so much I can scarcely breathe. Will you have me? Angry make up sex.
When Claire finally tells Jamie that she’s from the future. He says he believes her, even if he doesn’t understand.
The I love you vs wanted you speech at Lallybroch.
Goodness, I could go on forever!! Suppose I’ll just stop there though. 😎

National Productivity Day – Shaping Future-Ready Learners Through AI and Innovation
National Productivity Day is celebrated each February 12 to encourage us all to take advantage of smart-working practices, develop skills, work efficiently with our time, grow sustainably and continuously improve ourselves. National Productivity Day also marks the founding of the National Productivity Council of India and serves as a reminder that progress does not come from just hard work, but from working effectively.
Technology today has a strong link to productivity; artificial intelligence (AI) has changed many different industries around the world, including healthcare, banking, manufacturing and education. While AI will create efficiencies and innovations in many different types of businesses, it will also create new workforce structures and sometimes job losses in many companies that use these technologies to replace traditional job functions performed by people. As a result of AI replacing some of the work done previously by humans with automated processes, organizations will need more workers with new-age skill sets such as critical thinking, problem solving, coding and adaptability.
The shift demonstrates that students require training to succeed in future careers which have not yet been created. Education can no longer focus only on textbooks and exams. The educational system needs to shift from its current state to develop students through practical education which teaches them essential skills needed for their future careers.
National Productivity Day serves as a reminder for students at our school to acquire essential skills which will benefit them in future endeavors according to our belief at Geetanjali International School. Our school functions as a leading cbse international curriculum school in Bangalore because it implements AI-based learning and robotics and STEM labs and coding programs and experiential education throughout its academic schedule.
The purpose of our courses is to educate students on technology's functions. Students will experience first-hand lab and experiential learning focused on developing design thinking skills, problem solving skills, STEM skills (science technology engineering and math) through robotics and builders. Coding and computer science fundamentals are introduced as soon as possible to help with creative and logical reasoning. Project based learning will foster collaboration, innovation, and time management competence which are important components of productive output.
The application of recent educational methods will help us to boost student productivity in critical ways. The students acquire three essential traits which are adaptability and confidence and continuous improvement capability that they need to succeed in a world that uses artificial intelligence. The students engage in life preparation work which extends beyond their exam preparation activities.
The National Productivity Day functions as a strong reminder to parents and teachers that educational methods need to progress according to contemporary needs. Students receive motivation to pursue intelligent learning methods together with their dedication to studying.
Our dedication to developing students who will succeed as future leaders in a technology-based world will be confirmed on February 12.
