Question 7, from the OC ask game you recently reblogged >:)
I need to know more about your Fectos they seem super cool-
Question 7.: Which of your ocs has the most tragic backstory and why?
Tempest actually has one of the most tragic from all mah Fectos :3
[Edit: Turned this into a lore dump, sry T^T]
It starts early in her childhood (...? Idk if i should call young fectos foals or smth). Tempest loved to watch time pass, more specifically, the Time Continuum. She'd do that by sneaking into the Nest of one of the Elders in her colony and grabbing a certain crystal that the Elders warned to be dangerous. She then would use it to cut open a rift in time and space and watch The Continuum through there. Though she didn't know the tolls it would take on her mind. After three years of sneaking, secrecy and silent watching, she'd start to see things. First it was barely noticeable. Occasional daydreams/visions about hourglasses counting seconds, a soft ticking so faint that it could've been imagined... Then after a few weeks, they'd get worse. She would predict small, irrelevant things happening seconds before they do, then storms within hours and actions in days.
You'd think it's actually cool to predict time, right? Eh, nope.
It can make you go mad the way it did with Tempest.
The visions didn't stop there. It even went so far to show her the next few centuries. The Red War*, the Discovery of the New World, The Birth of Genwel Meteonelfilis**, and every death that happened during those events. She even saw her own death, in so many scenarios that she almost got lost in the spiral of it. Tempest then thought she'd grown mad, (not far from the truth actually) and pleaded the Elders for a cure to this torture she's been put through (which, mind you, happened starting from a very young age to now, as a young adult. She'd been enduring years of visions, some were positive, most were [very] negative). The Elders then had found out the main problem. The Continuum had tied itself strongly to Tempest, and to remove this bond from her would destroy this timeline, kill her and potentially others. There they made a decision to send Tempest to the Temporal Dimension*** and there Tempest would spend the rest of eternity guarding time, watching her family, her friends and her colony grow old and die without her. Even though her visions had ended, the knowledge of what's to come had burned itself into her mind, and will never leave again.

So! Why's Tempest's story like that? Because this is kind of one of the building blocks of my 'what happened before katfl' AU, and from this exact back story, a belief of a certain "goddess" of time is shared by ALL my Fecto OCs and is what ties them all together, even if their all separated by time periods.
[And now a few Last things imma need to quickly clarify cuz the things with a "*" are very Important events during my AU]
*The Red War: The Red War was a civil war that occurred long after the events of 'Tempest's Temporal Imprisonment'. The reason for it happening was Territorial conflict. A new moon was discovered that was able to sustain life. So, the [Fecto] Clans started fighting over it until it came to war. (the moon was destroyed during the war anyways but they kept fighting 'til their home planet was practically unrecognisable)
**Birth of Genwel Meteonelfilis: This event is not as important as the others, but i felt the need to include it anyways. This event happens after The Red War, where basically Genwel is the very first Fecto foal born after the war.
***Temporal Dimension: The Temporal Dimension is where Tempest guards time watching events happening, but never interfering.
