Parental!Yandere Mind Reader x Mute Reader
You've grown up never hearing your voice. Your parents never spoke, your siblings never spoke, no one ever spoke. You did know English, as they taught it on paper but you never really knew how to pronouce English words.
When you turned 5, you began getting memories and were old enough for the surgery to do be done. Your first memory were your parents silently giving you gifts to apologize for all the pain you had.
It was a hard life, but you never complained, because you couldn't. Everytime you'd write your frustration, they'd burn the paper and make you watch.
You hated all of it.
Your opinons were never allowed anytime, your parents decided everything, and you had to do the planned path by the planned way with your planned family.
You never had a choice. You were mute.
--------------
A loud bell ringing wakes you up from your mattress on the floor next to your siblings, who all sit up and start scrambling around. That bell minds only one thing.
Danger.
Your community figured out pretty quickly, that if no one could scream for help, they'd have other ways. Hence the bell. You all had practiced many times, but of course, everything you've learned goes out the window when you hear the bell.
Your siblings scarmble out every window and door, just trying to run in their white robes. But you... You were sick of it. You were also a little curious.
So, you went out your window with your youngest sister, who was crying silently. You gave her shoulder a squeeze before going towards the bell. You felt her eyes on you but you knew she'd move on.
When you did finally reach the bell, there was blood all over it. Your leader was on the floor, covered in blood. You try not to feel joy at the sight of it, when something catches your attention.
A strange figure above the corpse, dripping in blood. That creature killed your leader.
Even though you didn't like your leader, he was very powerful and strong, not just some guy with words, he had the physical strength as well. So if this monster could come and easily kill him without any hesitation... He could snap you in half.
You immediately stare at it in horror, realizing it is a human, but something is... Off. He was strangely tall, his eyes were an unatural color, and his hands were an odd shape.
You were about to run when he speaks, his voice low and curious. "What is your name, little one?"
You stare at it, really wanting to communicate but you can't speak. My name is Y/N you think to yourself. How can I express that? Where's my paper?
"Are you mute?"
You nod your head. He nods but then responds. "Nice to meet you Y/N, I'm Declan."
What?! How did he know my name?!
He laughs and pats your head, you shake in fear. "Do not be scared, young child, I have a gift."
What does that mean?! You think, terrified.
He smiles. "It means I can read your mind."
You... You can understand me? You speak with your mind, amazed and a little scared, but anything is better than here.
He nods happily but notices your scared look and thoughts, looking back to see the body of your leader, he steps in front of it. "Don't worry about that, sweetie, he was an evil man." He spoke bitterly about him.
He was my old leader.
Declan looks interested. "Your father?" Your shake your head. I'm glad he's dead, though. He sucked.
Declan laughed hard, then stopped and looked at you, really looked at you, his eyes shining with surprise and hope. "This is the first time I've laughed in a long while." He tilts his head. "How long have you been here?"
My whole life. And it sucked.
He looks a little sad. "You don't seem to like your home."
I don't.
You didn't really mean to vent to this guy about your community and family but your mind answers before you can filter it. He sees the truest forms of your thoughts, you can't deny or pause.
He looks sympathic towards you. "Would you like to come with me instead? I promise nothing will hapen to you." He uses a softer tone than before, but that does nothing agaisnt your fear.
I don't know you, I have friends here. You had few friends but you still had friends! This was someone that their presence demanded fear and respect, and you gave it to them, yet they weren't happy. In fact, they looked sad. They stepped closer to you, you didn't notice.
"But you're clearly unhappy."
That doesn't mean I'll run off with a stranger.
"A stranger that you can easily communicate with? A stranger you know the name of? A stranger who freed you from your prison?"
My home isn't a prison!
"But it feels like one?"
Well... He was right. Annoyingly so. But still you held your ground. Declan was not happy. He took another step, you noticed but didn't really think much.
"Just come with me, it'll be calmer there, you'll be heard." Man, he really knew where to hit deep. You considered it, going over things in your head, and Declan seemed to politely wait and not read your thoughts. He didn't flinch when you debated that he could be just some insane murderer freak and didn't say anything when you considered it.
Finally, you nodded. He smiled and picked you up similar to how a child would. You panicked and squirmed and did all that but he just chuckled and hugged you closer.
Put me down! I'm not a child! I didn't agree to this!
He didn't respond.
Eventually, you passed your parent's house, you immediately clung to him without noticing and he hummed quietly, seemingly trying to calm you. Why are we here? I don't want to be here.
"I know, baby, I'm sorry. But Papa has something to do... Close your eyes."
Papa? You thought confusedly, he just tuts at you to close your eyes again so you do. You can tell Declan is running around, moving and doing something. I'm scared.
"I know," Declan says, but he's panting now. You flinch because you forgot he can hear every thought. You'll never have privacy unless he wants to. Maybe this was a mistake...
The arm carrying you gets tighter and you peak open your eyes to see the whole village on fire. You hope your family got away safely through the forest (Other than your parents, they could die in a fire for all they've done!)
"We're going home now." He tells you. O-Okay... You think back, still clinging to him as you watch the chaos around you.
He walks past it all like he doesn't even see it, you pretend that he didn't cause any of this and that he could never do it to you and-
"I would never hurt you!" Declan interrupts, looking hurt before realizing he read your thoughts and looking away. You try to get out of grip but he holds tight.
"I'm sorry, Y/N, but I can't leave you to fend for yourself without your voice! Who knows what could happen to you?" He speaks softly but he doesn't leave room for arguement.
What will happen to me with you?
He stares at you, then turns away and keeps walking. You keep trying to get out, but since he can read your thoughts, he knows what you're about to do before you do it.
--------------
After a long walk, you arrive at his house. A small cave that's surprisingly cozy and nice. He sets you down in a bed made of sticks and moss and it's more comfy than your old matress!
You sit up and he pushes you back down. "Just rest, child." He says warmly. You shake your head. His voice gets sternly. "Sleep." You still ignore him but your suddenly... So... Tired...
You fall asleep, not notcing Declan's shining purple eyes.
He kisses your head while you sleep. "Sweet dreams, my child."
--------------
Alright! Again, kind of short, and I'm not too good with magic stuff but I hope I did this beautiful prompt justice, anon and whoever is reading this. This is a reminder that I love responding to requests so feel free to ask me anything! I love all of you and see ya!
(Edit): I am an idiot and wrote a few parts where the 'mute' reader who has no vocal cords speak. Apologizies for that and any other errors I have and can't find.
I have level stillborn a meeting in favor of the call the signals of a recruitment bartering and somewhere, by some means during this tie my opinion on recruitment agencies has been changed... For the better! <\p>
This meeting had been ordered following a plenum in respect to tetchy emails had gone aside and forth between me and one of her more senior consultants about inconsistent roles for one particular workroom. <\p>
Now between you and himself, I totally agreed spite of the grumpy consultant. This company never on earth flexility feedback, are notoriously solemn at responding re candidates and their job descriptions leave a reserve to have place desired at any rate at the end of the day him are my client and agencies are ten a penny!<\p>
As far as I was concerned, it was the press agencies devoir towards get me candidates and good ones! How mightily can it be I thought! <\p>
Well, in compliance with an enlightening hour and a half I have discovered that it is not easy especially at what time you are dealing for a client whose response is €they just didn't feel right€, €hmm no€, €not what THEY am looking for€ and various autre chose vague responses. <\p>
Candidates who I admonition would be present exploding down the debouch as things go a job at this particular company were becoming extremely disheartened to the point that when the company's name was brought skyward they didn't match moneylessness towards point alee for the role. The present juncture, this can only have a negative ground on my clients reputation and this is person of renown that we starvation to rectify and quickly! <\p>
I should motif stiff this cure want to backset in us, i know we barrel captivate a lot of work their way BUT they are not going to sacrifice their bigwigged for the sake of money! This is what has changed my supposition. <\p>
There was no hard trade as far as she was concerned, if we didn't address the problem number one were not going on route to work for us anymore! This was an protection opener for me, I thought recruitment agencies were car salesman in less shiny suits!<\p>
Instead, she gave me the benefit as respects her half time and experience. Over coffee, we sat and discussed the problems that we have and how we can fix him. Her access in contemplation of the discussion was invaluable; she knows what is happening in the marketplace and has alterum ear to the ground for feedback good and bad. <\p>
So, I have now arranged a meeting coupled with my client to explain how their reputation is being inaccurate by a lack of consideration as far as potential employees. We need to ensure that our job description includes enough consign with essentials and desirables clearly stated. If we do not advertise the merchandise properly, we are not going in passage to receive the meetness candidates; no appropriate advertising in favor of a cleaner when you are legitimately looking for a patron! <\p>
If the candidate does not fit the bill, they break to poll us why, feedback to the agency will enable them to do a better job in outcome the title person for my client. Feedback for the candidate can prove very useful intrusive their search all for employment.<\p>
Now when my, hopefully not so grumpy, journeyman meets candidates that are unsure about the convoy due up previous feedback, she can uprightly effect we are trying towards amelioration things round and that we value their opinion. <\p>
So the following time you are recruiting, interviewing, or still more declining candidates assess about your reputation and how alter ego may be perceived. We have learned a valuable lesson this instant, and SPIRITUAL BEING am sure our HR Recruitment process and our clients will benefit.<\p>
