“What’s with that look?” Alessi is narrowing his eyes in your direction. You’ve gotten used to the way he speaks knowing that Alessi could come off as being a bit cold and distant (even though that’s usually not the case). You’ve come to realize that although Alessi can come off a certain way he’s all bark and no bite - at least not when you’re someone he cares about. Alessi has learned to keep people at a distance and that includes you. Even if you’re someone important to him, he’s still not really used to showing that softer side of himself. Maybe he’s afraid that you’ll change his mind about him...
“What? I can’t look at you?” you quip back.
“...No. You can’t.” Alessi says this so seriously, but he’s looking away from you. The fact that your attention is all on him is just so embarrassing to him. He never understood what you saw in him at all. You two might be in a relationship, but he’s always convinced that maybe you’re just messing with him or something.
“Why not? I thought you liked me...” you pout in his direction, and you can notice Alessi visibly cringe.
“Don’t do that to me.” Alessi huffs and you laugh a little at his reaction.
“Do what? I’m not doing anything... I’m just looking at you~” you continue to tease him, and Alessi looks away. If you’re able to get a closer look at him then you’d notice that he’s actually blushing a little bit. He can’t believe how cute you are... It’s still hard to believe that you’re actually his. Alessi is sure he could lose you at any moment so that’s why it’s just easier to keep you at a distance.
While Alessi is lost in his thoughts you cup both of his cheeks in your hands, “Hey. Look at me, ‘Lessi.” you sound serious but your tone is still gentle and soft. Alessi may be forced to face your direction, but he’s still averting his eyes away from you.
“If you’re afraid of losing me, you won’t. I’m not going anywhere. I love you.” you say this firmly, pressing a gentle kiss to his lips.
“Bah! Are you trying to kill me with this affection?!” Alessi huffs, but he’s blushing so much now. Maybe he should allow himself to feel a little vulnerable just this once... He sighs, “Yeah, yeah. I love you too... Uh... Thanks. Thanks for loving me...”
