Since Fi is an experiential function that develops and communicates via one's own individualistic views that differ from one individual to another, is it possible for Fi-doms and Fi-auxes to desire recognition from society? Or perhaps from a small community (parents, siblings, etc)? Just really curious since Fi is said to rely on one's opinions towards self and others rather than societal expectations. Have you met Fi users that desire recognition from others?
Fi users like INFP, ISFP, ENFP, and ESFP absolutely CRAVE recognition from others. Although it is more individualistic in nature it does not mean it ignores people. Fi is a people function. Fe is systematic and looks at cultural rules and systems.
So the Fe user can often do things without caring about individual opinions and acceptance, if what they are doing still fits into the cultural/social system they identify themselves with. Fe is very relationship based. So the Fe user will be your boss and can be harsh for the sake of maintaining that relationship and role.

The Fi user may not be as strict with a need to be LIKED by individuals. They aren’t preoccupied with their societal role (for example being a boss), but on that personal relationship.
