:/ I want to be wanted
Gods I hate my brain, every time I see a photo of someone else on here all I can think about is how much more attractive everyone is compared to me.
Like I've been on HRT since like 2020, and while I do identify with being butch and more on the masculine side, it fucking sucks seeing just how pretty so many others are who've been on HRT for less time or not at all. And logically I know comparing myself and my progress to others is something I shouldn't do. But I just can't help feeling so unattractive and like I'll never be seen as more as just heavyset guy, just ugh I hate my brain, sorry for the mini vent 💀
*looks in the mirror*
*sees this*
Ah yes, I understand now.
I hope someday I’ll meet a man who loves me
Someday, right God?
Someday.
another depression day, yay
That feeling is back. That feeling of unattractiveness. By conventional standards, I am not attractive. I am not saying that because I am being mean to myself, I am saying that because it is the truth and I am ok with it. Sometimes. Most of the time I am fine with how I look, I have accepted that this is how I look, but every now and again, that little monster called insecurity comes to pay me a visit. Usually after a trigger of some sorts. So today that trigger was one of my classmates. We are currently paired to work together while on placement. She is beautiful and I have to admit, I am more than a little jealous of her because of the treatment she receives from those around her, especially the senior consultants we work with. I don’t know what it is like to be her, but it seems that people tend to be nicer towards her than they are to me. Whenever the consultants ask us questions, I will try to the best of my abilities to answer them. I am not a know-it-all, far from it actually, but it seems like even if I am the one who answered the questions correctly, she would be the one who gets the attention and praises. I tried to be quiet, and let her answer the questions, but then she would not, there would be an awkward silence, she would look at me, and I would give in and speak my answers out and then she would be the one that gets the praise.
And this is not a one-time-thing either. We are currently into the 5th week of our placement and I have noticed this happening with a majority of our supervisors. And even among my other classmates who are out here with us too. Whenever they wanna go out and do fun stuff, they’ll look for her. Whenever they need a favour, they look for me. I usually get a ‘thanks’, but will still not be included in any plans.
But then again, maybe this have nothing to do with looks. Maybe I’m just an insufferable asshole.
Fuck this.
