I'm addicted to feeling wanted.
Turning to Schitt’s Creek, Levy described the “family dynamic” among him and his costars and how they sobbed when it was time to wrap up a year and a half ago:
“I didn’t know at the time how rare that kind of dynamic was—to work in a space where everyone felt really kind of valued and excited to be there,” he said. “It was truly the greatest seven years, give or take, of my life and truly the most transformative.”

It’s too bad more jobs aren’t places where people feel valued and excited to be there. They should be. They could be. I can’t change my boss, but I can do my part to make my co-workers feel more valued. Imagine if that reflects back on us.
Someone contacted me out of the blue to ask my advice on something, and I felt valued
Someone said it was nice to see me
I’m filled with so much love rn 🥰
I went to a baby shower yesterday where a good chunk of attendees were from my sister’s dance group growing up. There was a point where one of the instructors asked for a picture with the OG group which included my sister, our friends, and the mother to be. Afterwards, everyone was like, “Lina, why didn’t you get in the picture?!” Which I responded by saying that I wasn’t part of the dance group. Literally everyone was like sure you didn’t dance but you were our emotional support lol our big sister 🥺😭
I was always going up and down with my sister during that time since she didn’t drive back then. I didn’t realize how much my presence influenced everyone there 🥹🥰
I guess today I finally got evidence that the company I work for really and truly wants me to stay here.
I went to talk to my boss's boss (#2 on the totem pole) about something unrelated. We dealt with that and as I was about to step out of his office he called me back in and said 'I overheard that you were trying to lose weight. I know it's hard, and I know that it's going to take work. My daughter lost over 100 pounds and became a gym rat. I know cash is tight for you right now, so here's a $50 to help you towards that. There are some other changes going on around here that will probably benefit you too. Just hang tight for a little longer'. Today just got better.
