809 Episode Synopsis "Pharos" Political threats come to a head when an old friend of Claire and Jamie’s goes missing.

808 Commentary: This episode was packed with the TV writers' wish list, rather than the story many of us wanted to see. I'm never going to get over eliminating Fergus & family. I don't mind William, but he was the son who never wanted Jamie, and now he does. Fergus was loyal to Jamie in his entire time. I don't see what the point of the entire Faith - Jane - Frances thing is, and now Fanny is on equal footing with the MacKenzie children. I'm afraid for Lord John, yet Diana wrote episode 809. Would she change her story for TV too?

A reminder that I blog this TV story carefully and from Jamie's point of view, with only events that happen with Jamie present. I'm leaning towards adding addendum for Lord John after the end. I've blogged Fergus the entire time he was with Jamie, this blog is searchable for it.
