The #fussfreefestivalshawl is finished and blocked 😎 There are so many things I love about it ❤️The pattern by @louisetilbrookdesigns is brilliant! It's easy to memorise and there's no need to count rows and/or stitches. The yarn works so well with this pattern. I love the squish of garter stitch anyway; the yarn is single ply and a bit thick and thin, which just adds even more texture. The colours are gorgeous, too. I enjoy virtually everything I knit, but this has been particularly satisfying. Misadventures in Teaching

So we are doing online school now, and I’ve had more students cheating because of it. I caught a girl because she copy and pasted an open-ended assignment (she was to write a paragraph, so no two students’ work should have looked the same), she did this twice. I gave her the chance to redo it for partial credit, which she didn’t. So her next move was to not cheat for 1 week, do her work in front of her mom, and then go crying to her that I wrongly accused her of cheating. The mom sent me an angry email threatening to go to my boss. Jokes on them though. The way I was handling it no would, but me, would have known she was caught cheating, and she could have gotten partial credit. Now the administrations going to know, and she’s going to be stuck with a zero. I made copies of her work (that she didn’t even bother to go back and change when she decided to pull this stunt) and forwarded the mom’s email, along with the link to the website she used to cheat and her assignments, to my boss. It’s so funny to me that this kid tried to play me, but didn’t even put the effort into it that would have been necessary to actually get away with it. I also find it hilarious that the mom tried to threaten me, when if she had approached me in a reasonable manner things would have gone a lot better for her kid.

Staying warm in the #Tabacón natural #HotSprings while afternoon thunderstorms rolled in. Got a bit bored just lying there to be honest 😅. We lasted less than an hour (long enough to get pruney though) and came out as soon as the rain stopped! .
