We don’t talk about Robert’s line in 6x06 enough.

“A man who thought he could step into my place, just like that.”

For some reason it just hit me like a train of feels today. This is one of the most romantic things Robert says in the entire series and I had to share my thoughts. I mean it’s not on the same level as “I am lucky enough to call you my wife,” or “I have loved you very, very much,” or “There is not now, nor ever will be, anything you have spoiled for me,” but it’s such a nod to how their relationship really works. I’ll elaborate, if I may…

This “place” Robert is talking about has nothing to do with his place as Lord Grantham or his place in society. It doesn’t even have anything to do with his place as a father. But it has EVERYTHING to do with his place as Cora’s husband, her lover, and her companion. He can’t bear the idea of a replacement in his role or in her bed. Now, we all know that Robert can be a real Donk sometimes, but his irritability over the whole matter is kind of endearing, in a strange sort of way. Because he truly thinks that his place is with Cora. “My place” is what brought on this feelings fest for me because it goes right along with his line earlier in the season of “My Cora.” Of course she is his. But he is hers, as well. I think Robert really believes they belong to each other. Other couples of their stature probably wouldn’t bat an eye at taking a lover or having an affair. It’s touching to know that Robert would be rattled by the thought of Cora loving someone else (even if it’s LITERALLY HIS OWN FAULT that she feels cast aside and needs a friend).

Feels Fest: Miraculous Ladybug

1. Volpina making Chat Noir hallucinate and think that Ladybug was her so that he uses Cataclysm on Ladybug and almost kills her. 2. Chat Noir gets shot during a fight while Marinette has no idea about any of it. Chat comes to Marinette's house in the middle of the night hoping she'd help him stitch up the wound. 3. Chat becoming akumatized and Ladybug having to snap him out of it. 4. Ladybug becoming akumatized and Chat having to snap her out of it. 5. Future AU where Chat notices Ladybug isn't doing as good in a battle and is staying back rather than jumping in head strong like she usually does. After the battle, Chat pulls her to the side and asks her if she's okay. Ladybug tells him she's pregnant. 6. Chloe humiliates Marinette in front of Adrien so she runs off and cries. Adrien sets out to look for her. When he finds her, he gets there just in time to watch an akuma fly over to her and is just about to transform into Chat to stop it when Marinette reaches out with her hand and grabs it before opening it to reveal its back to just a normal butterfly and whispering "No evil doing for you today, little akuma." Adrien knows Marinette is Ladybug. 7. Chat giving Ladybug an umbrella while it's raining after a hard battle and comforting her. She then realizes he's Adrien.
