❝ i never want to let go. ❞ Nina, let's get them feels going
Nina hadn’t offered to accompany the boys. Perhaps that was her final way of showing respect for their mother. After a few weeks of governmental red-tape and providing proof of kinship, they had taken possession of the cremains of “Jane Doe 8389.” After the attack on Paradiso, and well after the fires died down, and the human authorities were able to access the scene, they had found the burned body of a woman. No one claimed her, and no one could say what had happened to the two boys neighbors swore existed, but which traces of whom were never found. They could tell she had been murdered and the house set on fire, but they knew nothing else. No personal records seemed to exist in the home and the home itself was always owned by a private man, an S. Sparda, according to records, whom no one could find or reach.
3. Most SCARED, not feared...
The night I earned this chevron. I was still a Junior Medic under the direction of a mech named Hydrale Minor – my mentor and caretaker, a mech for whom my admiration was surpassed by only Optimus. Hydrale was, um, he was called to the front in one of the bloodiest battles we had faced since the war began, the Battle of Technahar. He knew…we all knew…that he likely wouldn’t come back. Before he left, he gave me a “temporary” field promotion.
I was a field medic, yes, but only in name. I had never actually been on the field and neither had the others. They were practically newsparks; several of them had never known a life before the war. As such, all we could do was wait and tend to the patients who could be transported from the battlefield. I thought it would be one of the longest nights of my life, but everything happened far too quickly. We never expected a strike team to maneuver past the Autobot forces to us.
Within minutes, we were overrun; our patients were being finished off faster than our medics – my medics – could fight back. All we had were surgical tools. Five of us were dead within the first ten minutes and I was cornered by two Decepticon front-liners twice my size. I was faced with a choice and I chose to defend my patients and my peers with the tools I was given. I don’t remember most of what followed, except that I fought…on my knees…because my legs wouldn’t support me. It was the most terrifying night of my life.
10. Most feared
I haven’t performed many interrogations, but those I did were always…fruitful. They were certainly an opportunity to bend the rules of ethics. Optimus always did his best to make time in his schedule, oversee the work, be a steadying presence and a reminder of the peace we really stood for, but sometimes he couldn’t be there.
Sometimes I allowed other officers to pressure me, sometimes I did it simply to repay whatever the Decepticon had done to the comrades under my care. They didn’t seem to realize what I could do to them, most of the time, because they thought I wouldn’t. As soon as I saw them, scanned them, I calculated approximately thirteen different ways to critically injure them before I started, working with whatever officer was on guard duty at the time.
They never feared me when I came in, but those times when I didn’t have someone I looked up to standing behind the observation window, they feared me when I left.
💛💝💛💝💛💝💛💝//He loves how badass Robin is but he also loves how maternal she can be and that once her walls came down, she can finally be herself without fear. Mama Robin <3

“Me? A role model? I'm flattered you think of me like that, Captain. It's very kind of you.”
