I'm headcannoning that Camilla's armor is ceremonial, and not meant to be fought in. Rhajat's is just something she threw on in a rush, and Charlotte was about to get changed into something else, but she was interrupted. Her Hero promotion is her finishing getting dressed.

That's fair. I can't even look at them without being angry so you're stronger than me.

Just my opinion on some of the Fates designs. Sakura and Oboro's weren't too bad. Sakura is a Shrine Maiden, and her outfit reflects that. Oboro's could use a bit more armor, but otherwise she's good too. She's an infantry fighter and meant to be a bit hard to hit, or at least that's how she was whenever I played.

I mean, sure, some designs were fine. Doesn't make Camilla, Rhajat or Charlotte any less bad.

Is it reasonable to compare CF Edie to Corrin from Fates, in the sense that the narrative frames them as unambiguously heroic and they get everything they wanted without much struggle? I compared them once and people got upset with me.

I think the difference between the two of them is that Kamui is actually a very sweet person and the game, IIRC, actually leans into her naivety much more than it does for Edie

I wouldn't compare them too much, Kamui is a vastly different type of person if you compare her Warriors appearance to Edie

Also, Kamui doesn't get her best ending unless you buy the THIRD FUCKING ROUTE because they're all SOLD SEPARATELY NINTENDO WTF so her getting everything isn't really true

Not to mention that Kaze, I think, only survives if you have a high enough support with him while I don't remember anyone important dying in Crimson Flower

I think I really prefer the fanbase’s interpretations of the fates characters. The story just had so much lost potential that it hurts me. I’m more in love with what they could’ve been.

Oh same. The game isn't like, horrible but it wanted to be what Three Houses is and failed at it spectacularly. I still enjoyed it but it doesn't have the same idk magic??? as Awakening or Three Houses.

The fandom does manage to give the characters some more refinement than the game, which I appreciate.

Also, and that's just me, Warriors letting me finally hear their OG voices instead of the imo not to good English voice acting helps too.

Well i mean everybody knows that best royals are sakura and leo but i don’t hate camilla, i’m mostly just indifferent, now hinoka on the other hand

My favorite royals are Xander and Sakura tbh though I don't dislike Hinoka. I just...really don't like what the writers did to Camilla, she deserved to be a character instead of a sexusl fantasy on legs

Peri isn’t a good person but she IS a tragic character, if that makes sense, and it’s nice that a lot of her supports have her change and get the help she clearly needs ((most notably her supports with laslow))

I think my only issue with her is how she is portrayed pre change, ya know? She's what Dimitri would be if his writing was bad if that makes sense
