🐲 5. Do you prefer to make human, animal, monster, or _____ characters? Why?
Humanoid monsters, or things along that line like robots or aliens, are always the most fun for me personally! The provide a lot of opportunities to have some real fun with designs, and the options are so fun? Like, with humans, you can play a lot with shapes, but there’s not a lot of room for more unique features like claws and wires and even more out there stuff!
🏆 19. What’s more important to you: visual design, unique personality, a trendy character aesthetic, etc? If you’re not sure, then what’s the first thing you usually nail down in a character?
Usually, the first thing I nail down in a character is a core concept? Like the first thing I had for Blair, she’s a crypto-hunter, Audrey wants to move to the city and be a star, Mercy is a child witch in training. After I have one core idea I like for them, I build the design, species, and rest of the personality and such around that!
Honestly, visual design and personality are both equally important to me! Because for one thing, I don’t want a character that’s boring for me to write, or who I dread drawing. ;v ;
