Leorio is the one that’s always really weary of everything
He knows how you’re definitely not as strong as everyone else in the group and so he tries his best to point out danger before the disaster actually happens
ALSO this means there were lots of false alarms when Leorio thought something bad was going on but you guys were literally like in a cafe having lunch-
Gon is the one that follow Kurapika’s words the most -- he has lost of trust in Kurapika and he’d honestly hate himself if anything happened to you
Not that he doesn’t have a good sense of if there’s danger, but he doesn’t view himself as the most reliable so he just makes sure he’s prepared to protect at all times than constantly trying to find out if it’s safe or not
Killua is the most relaxed
He has a lot of trust in his abilities and honestly he is 100% sure that he would win any fight with anyone that’s trying to hurt you
Not to mention Killua’s pretty protective of the people that he cares about so you bet that absolutely nothing is going to be able to hurt you

But then Itadori’s resting face compared to yours is also a big contrast like with Shalnark

You probably don’t even have to tell him that you’re struggling with low self esteem -- he can just tell through observation + instincts
And he doesn’t waste time so you bet Killua is going to literally call you out on it

Literally just cuts to the chase like ‘y/n listen ik you’re struggling with your self esteem but you don’t have anything to worry about’
and you’re like ‘????? when did we get to the topic of my self esteem?’ and he’s like nah listen listen and just starts to reassure you about how you need to believe in yourself more because you’re way more capable of doing things than you think
It’s quite a motivational speech and he knows he’s not going to be able to help you completely in just one sitting so he’s willing to take the time and get you through it
Choso:
Choso (from what I’ve gathered on his character) can be overprotective at times and is a really critical thinker
He can also be as blunt as Killua sometimes but really it’s only if he chooses to
With that being said Choso would be overprotective of you and he’d be quite concerned of how much you’re hurting your own emotions with that low self esteem
And this man is set to change that trust trust
Probably won’t be as direct as Killua -- Choso wants you to realize it yourself and try to be as independent as possible on this journey
Obviously he’ll step in and help if you ever need but he wants you to feel that sense of accomplishment
If you do realize it all on your own + start changing the way you think about yourself that’s amazing !! but if you’re having some troubles seeing the bigger picture of course he’ll be there
