based on her level of military activity, there's no way feixiao is gonna die a natural death. she'll either fall in battle or be fully consumed by her moon rage. and if it's the moon rage, someone will have to kill her before she starts killing her own soldiers. it's an outcome she has completely accepted.

and that got me thinking...

what if feixiao encourages moze's "assassination attempts" to prepare him for when the time comes, so moze can kill her?

imagine how painful it would be – the hardest battle moze will ever fight, not just physically, but also mentally. he has sworn his undying loyalty to the general and now he must kill her. this is the last mission feixiao entrusted to him. the last attempt on her life. the first, bloodied success.

and when moze walks away, his "vengeance" finally complete, he feels no satisfaction, only a piercing sense of grief. because the truth is, general feixiao had stopped being his enemy a long time ago. the truth is, she is – was – one of the only friends he had.

(and what about jiaoqiu? when the verdant knights break the news to him, how will he react? he has outlived another patient yet again. feixiao, who is younger and healthier than him, the fiercest warrior he's ever met, the most strong-willed person he's ever known, is gone.)

(he broke his promise. one day, he will leave this world without having cured feixiao. and then moze will be left behind, all by himself. jiaoqiu has failed both of them. feixiao is dead. he will never see her bright eyes and her wild grin ever again.)

Not enough people talking about how Moze got SO close to losing the two most important people in his life

And I don't mean this as Jiaoqiu angst or Feixiao angst, I mean this as: Whether you ship any of them or all of them, whether you see them as found family, or even just friends, Jiaoqiu and Feixiao are the only people Moze has. And both of them could have died in the Skysplitter that day, both because of Hoolay, almost at the same time. And Moze probably wouldn't be near either of them when it happened.

everyone talks about feixiao and jiaoqiu, and jiaoqiu and moze BUT WHAT ABOUT FEIXIAO AND MOZE. i will never separate the trio they’re bought as a set but they are BY FAR my favorite dynamic within it. what do you mean they bond through moze trying to kill her. it’s fun for them. they go on runs together. absolutely insane i adore them!!!!
