If I was the writer of Feirenzai, I would add Ao Bing to the cast, like, right now. Here's how I'd make it work:
Hong Hai'er asks Nezha why he killed Ao Bing. Nezha gives more than one answer (Ao Bing ate kids, accused Nezha of stealing, etc.) but Longnü immediately points out he's just referencing his adaptations.
Turns out, Nezha doesn't remember, and neither does Longnü; it's been too long since the incident. Now Hong Hai'er and Longnü are questioning whether it was Nezha or Ao Bing was in the wrong then. Nezha claims it was Ao Bing, but since he can't remember the past, his claim doesn't hold water.
So Nezha decides to revive Ao Bing and have him answer. He draws a diagram, takes an Armand pine bonsai, and puts it in the middle of the diagram with Ao Bing's tendon. Then he focuses his qi into it. The room explodes. When the smoke clears, Ao Bing is there, sitting in the middle of Nezha's diagram. Everyone starts freaking out, including Nezha who really didn't expect this to work.
After everyone has calmed down, Ao Bing tells the truth of what happened at Jiuwan River—Nezha was playing with some kids in the waters and showing off his weapons. Ao Bing came to the surface to defend his territory. Because Ao Bing threatened the children, Nezha killed him to protect his friends. They were both in wrong.
Since Ao Bing died in the Shang dynasty, he's constantly having his mind blown by all the modern things surrounding him now. He catches up fast and becomes quite tech-savvy, yet will still claim he's not up-to-date with everything.
Like this legend, Ao Bing is looking for a partner, but because Nezha (2019) and Nezha 2 are screened in this world too, people would say, "Aren't you already Nezha's wife?" And Ao Bing either spit-takes the sea or screams, "He's in primary school!"
Ao Bing enrolls in high school because he looks like a teenager. He's extremely popular there thanks to all the good publicity from Jiaozi's films, and he uses this popularity to get royal treatment.
