He’d been at the Burrow for a few days now, enjoying time with his friends -- it hadn’t mattered to him he saw them nearly every other day otherwise. But this was somehow different; finding himself in the backyard of their multi-leveled home, staring off into the night. Harry could hear the scurrying sounds of gnomes and the like in the closing darkness. Background noise for his wandering thoughts. In fact, he’d been so deep in his thinking, he hadn’t heard the sound of her footsteps, though they were soft in the grass.

Avery was lazing about on the porch, sitting sideways in a chair so that her head was against the back, her feet over one of the arms. Ginny was sitting near her, almost mirroring her position. She couldn’t remember what had sparked the conversation, just that her response had almost been lazy. “Yeah, they’re living the good life, can’t see what he is going through.”

I just bought another pack of Harry Potter stamps so if anyone wants me to write them a real letter I’ll send one with that on the envelope.
