Originally called The Borough Theatre opening in 1877 on Bank Hey Street. It was eventually rebuilt in 1928 later being renamed Feldman's Theatre in 1937.

In 1952 it was sold and became The Queen's Theatre for 19 years until its closure in 1971 to make way for a modern C&A store which later became a TK Maxx store in 2001.

A view down Bank Hey Street showing the original Methodist Church which was later replaced with a more modern building. Queen's Theatre next door suffered a similar fate to make way for a modern C&A building, later becoming the towns T.K. Maxx store.
