Made some upgraded versions of some of my favorite Duel Monsters again. I tried to make them all different Attributes and different kinds of monster cards:
Divine Dragon Lady Felgrand - I think it’s pretty clear that Paladin of Felgrand uses the Ruins of the Divine Dragon Lords to become Divine Dragon Knight Felgrand. But even before these cards were released, I’ve always like Herald of Creation. She also shares a connection with the Dragon Lords, so I figured I’d give her a Divine Dragon upgrade to be the Xyz/Warrior’s Synchro/Spellcaster counterpart.
Raging Darkfire Dragon - Darkfire Dragon was my first ever favorite Duel Monster, despite the fact that it was a Fusion monster with only 1500 ATK and no effect. I thought I’d make a retrained version that’s a little easier to summon with a decently damaging ability.
Cyber Harpie’s Brother - Ever since they renamed Harpie’s Brother “Sky Scout,” I’ve been bummed out about it. It’s never cool when game designers straight-up rename your favorite things, so I thought I’d create a new powered-up version of him that reflects Harpie Lady’s upgrade into Cyber Harpie Lady. Its effect supports many Harpie monsters and birdmen like Sonic Shooter, Battlestorm, Birdface, and Harpie’s Brother himself (I’m still not calling him Sky Scout).
Gaia the Dragon Soldier - Many variations of Gaia the Fierce Knight have him mounting dragons to boost his strength, but this form has him absorbing draconic power into his own body with no need for steed. His summoning conditions and effect are based on Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning and suggest he is an alternate version of Gaia that never undergoes the Black Luster Ritual.
Snubnose Dragon - I’m a big fan of the Gun Dragons - especially Blowback Dragon and the new Desperado Barrel Dragon - so I made this one just for fun.
Tribar the Frost Crusader - Mobius the Frost Monarch has been a long-time favorite of mine and I want to believe Escher the Frost Vassal isn’t his only loyal servant. I like that Tribar’s ATK could match the ATK of Mobius or his Mega Monarch form if either were Tribute Summoned alongside him. If you were to summon both stages of Mobius one after the other, their effects could bring Tribar’s ATK up to an impressive 3600.
